Insanity as State Policy

It is absolutely mind-boggling what such high-level Western puppets are made to believe. Looking at each other through the glass wall at the other’s perceived reality, it is obvious that one side is in a medically certified state of lunacy. Are we the lunatics, seeing the results of the battleground in Ukraine, or what? The Russian economy is in ruin?! It is now the largest economy in Europe, and just about to overtake Japan as the 4th largest economy in the world.

Can one even have a serious argument over what this man is saying from the perspective of Western insanity?

From the interview in Newsweek:

Words from Permanent Secretary at the Estonian Ministry of Defence Kusti Salm, in an interview with Newsweek, regarding the conflict in Ukraine:

Russia needs to walk away with the understanding that they lost, that they will lose the next war…Economically, they are ruined; we outlasted them; we kept our industry on a better footing; we have the technological advantage; we have better training, better morale; that they don’t stand a chance…

They need to walk away with the understanding that international law and the rule-based world functions, and that you cannot bend it as you wish…

This is the only way to draw a line there, so that this wouldn’t happen again. If one of those elements is not fulfilled, then in a few years, we will face another crisis, and not only from Russia, because everyone is learning…

We think that it’s three years before they will have the opportunity [to restore full military capabilities to pre-SMO levels]. Others go for five years; we have also heard seven or eight years. But the consensus is that they will regenerate, and they will come back. There is no one in intelligence, no one in defence circles who would dispute that…

For Europe, for NATO, it’s very simple – if Ukraine fails, NATO will be next…

Deterring needs a lot more effort, a lot more investment, a lot more shifts in public opinion. It’s actually a very high return on investment to keep on supporting Ukraine…120 billion [Euros] a year would be something that would do the trick – 0.25% of GDP.

It’s not a lot, it’s not a strategic topic, it’s not something that we cannot afford…With that money, you also ramp up your own industry [and] most of the money will remain in your own economies. It would be a stimulus package at a time of an incoming recession…Europe hasn’t found a way to package this…

Take what you will from Salm’s interview…

Breaking News: The Chinese develop 5nm chip, the Last US Technological Advantage

Chinese automaker Nio develops 5nm chip, claims a 4x advantage over Nvidia’s Drive Orin X processors, perhaps the most complex Chinese SoC to date

by Anton Shilov
via https://www.tomshardware.com

Nio, a major maker of electric vehicles from China, has developed its first 5nm processor for autonomous driving. The chip comes packing 50 billion transistors, comparable to Nvidia’s A100 processor for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) applications. The company believes that its system-on-chip is more advanced than Nvidia’s Drive Orin X, which it currently uses for its self-driving systems. Interestingly, the SoC (A System on a Chip) is set to be made using a 5nm-class process technology, reports CnEVPost.

Nio’s Shenji NX9031 SoC was developed by the company itself and packs 32 general-purpose Arm cores in total (including both Big and Little cores), a neural processing unit, a graphics processor, and an LPDDR5X memory subsystem. The system-on-chip can process data from LiDAR, which differs from processors used by Tesla that rely on data from video sensors. Since the unit is designed for autonomous driving applications, it complies with the ASIL-D risk and safety requirements.

The automaker says that its own chip is four times more powerful than Nvidia’s Drive Orin X processor it uses today, though it has not mentioned any specific numbers. Meanwhile, it is evident that Nio wants to use its own silicon and no longer rely on Nvidia’s Drive Orin X.

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect about the Nio Shenji NX9031 processor is that it is set to be made on a 5nm process technology, though it is unclear by whom. Unlike many of its Chinese counterparts, Nio is not blacklisted by the U.S. government, so it can order chips from TSMC, Samsung Foundry, or even Intel Foundry Services. Furthermore, since China-based SMIC doesn’t really offer automotive-grade leading-edge process technologies, we expect Nio to use the services of TSMC, Samsung, or IFS rather than its Chinese peers.

Nio’s Shenji NX9031 SoC will first be used for the company’s ET9, a premium sedan whose deliveries are set to start in Q1 2025, so the company will have enough time to test the processor and tailor software for it.

Bucovina Back to Romania?

❗️Bishop Longin suffers an induced heart attack whilst being stopped & harassed by Ukrainian troops at a checkpoint.

☦Metropolitan Longin is an ethnic Romanian Bishop from the Western Ukrainian region of Bucovina. He has refused to recognise Zelensky’s “new fake church”.

⚡️Previously, the Romanian Government, church and media have campaigned in defense of Bishop Longin and the rights of persecuted ethnic Romanians on Bucovina.

By persecuting Romanians in Bucovina Zelensky’s regime only accelerates the potential & justification for a Romanian annexation of Bucovina.

✊Go Romania! Protect your compatriots! Protect your Orthodox Bishops! Take back Northern Bucovina!

To Drink or Not to Drink

Authored by Tony Edwards via DailySceptic.org,

Will you sign up to Dry January this year? If you do, you won’t be alone.

According to its organizers, you’ll join a staggering nine million drinkers who are expected to don the hair shirt of for a whole month.

Why would you do it?

To prove to yourself you’re not an alcoholic, to virtue signal or to improve your health ? 0ne or more of those certainly.

Dry January was first invented 10 years ago by a U.K. charity called Alcohol Concern with a single purpose: “To reset after a month or two of holiday festivities (such as) office parties, fun nights out, and boozy nights in.”

Fair enough, perhaps, after an over-indulgent Christmas. But the goalposts have since been uprooted and replanted throughout the whole year. In February 2023, the charity (now rebranded as Alcohol Change) launched another abstinence drive: “Sober Spring – your three month break from alcohol, your chance to break habits, start new ones and experience life alcohol-free.” Hmm… What with the invention of two more monthly clones, Sober October and Sober September, there soon won’t be many more days in the year for drinkers to quaff a bevy or two without looking over their shoulders to see who’s eyeing them accusingly.

It’s beginning to look like a return of the Temperance Movement by stealth. In the 19th Century, drinkers were exhorted to “sign the pledge”, undertaking to renounce alcohol for life. Today, that pledge has now morphed into an app on your phone, enabling Alcohol Change to monitor your behaviour, and remotely shame you if you succumb to the temptations of the demon drink. In the 1800s, the Temperance Movement was all about preventing domestic violence; today it’s about preventing ill-health.

I’m a medical research journalist and I first got interested in this issue after stumbling across the fact that although booze “contains” lots of calories, it does not make you put on weight. Clinical trials on human volunteers, as well as experiments on rats and mice, have demonstrated this surprising fact conclusively. The evidence is clear: if you replace food calories with alcohol calories, you will lose weight. And yet the medical authorities have repeatedly told us that drinking causes weight gain, one of many health reasons to give up drinking.

That mismatch between medical advice and medical evidence set me on the path of seeing what else ‘they’ were misleading us about. That led to a deep dive into the published medical research and my discovery that, although the health authorities were routinely bombarding us with anti-alcohol rhetoric, there are astonishing health benefits from drinking.

Seriously? Can alcohol really be good for your health?

Yes.

In addition to the weight issue, the evidence shows that sensible drinkers have less heart disease, less diabetes, less dementia and often even less cancer than teetotallers. Those, plus a myriad of other health benefits, have the predictable upshot that moderate drinkers live longer and healthier lives than non-drinkers. Those discoveries were the meat of my 2013 book on the subject: The Good News About Booze, a deliberately populist title intended to disguise the fact that the book was a serious in-depth enquiry based on literally hundreds of references to evidence published in international medical journals.

After that, I thought I had finished with alcohol as a topic, but I recently had a rethink.

In the last seven years, without any evidence to support the clampdown, the medical authorities have begun turning the screws on drinkers. Again, it all started in Britain where in 2016 the existing alcohol guidelines were slashed in half, setting the upper safe limit at two units a day. What’s two units? Less than a pint of beer, a small glass of wine, or a shot of whisky – so almost a maiden aunt’s level of intake. Nevertheless, we were warned that exceeding even that very low level would harm our health. In fact, England’s then Chief Medical Officer, Sally Davies, went further, trumpeting that the latest research showed that “there is no safe level of alcohol intake”. Really? How come?

It turned out she had commissioned a survey of the existing research data from Sheffield University– a questionable source, as Sheffield is a bit-part player on the international alcohol research stage. In any case, we now know, thanks to journalist Chris Snowdon’s Freedom of Information ferreting, that Sheffield initially reported quite a lot of Good News about alcohol and health. However, that displeased the CMO who ordered the university to downplay alcohol’s health benefits and ramp up its hazards. The final Sheffield report, which incidentally was never formally published in a peer-reviewed journal, then became the justification for the new British guidelines…. which were, to put it mildly, based on dubious science.

Nevertheless, the 2016 British anti-alcohol initiative soon spread around the world, with many countries also reducing their guideline levels, sometimes to ridiculously low levels. For example, Holland, despite its liberal laws about marijuana smoking, now reckons that drinking more than half a bottle of lager a day will shorten your life. And even the French, who until a decade ago had no official guidelines at all, have now decided that drinking more than the quarter litre carafe of wine which every Frenchman has with his lunch, is a health hazard.

I was puzzled. I was pretty sure the health evidence about drinking hadn’t significantly changed since my 2013 book, but I decided to check. Another deep dive into the evidence did indeed reveal some apparently worrying findings. There was a major Cambridge University research paper with a sample size of over half a million people which said it had disproved the idea that drinking had any health benefits whatsoever. An even bigger study conducted in China claimed the same. A third said that drinking wine is as dangerous as smoking.

However, on examination, none of these stacked up. The Cambridge claim was straightforward misinformation: its study had in fact found health benefits from drinking, but had buried the positive findings in the depths of a voluminous appendix. The Chinese study was of questionable value, as it’s well known that Orientals genetically respond to alcohol very differently from Europeans. As for the ‘wine is as harmful as tobacco’ study, it offered not a scrap of evidence for the claim.

By contrast, my deep dive into the research database did reveal some new, very positive information about alcohol and health – in particular, the benefits of wine. It also meant I could assess the value of the new entrants in the wine arena since my 2013 book: organic/biodynamic and alcohol-free wines. I was intrigued to discover what extra health punch they each might provide; the answers greatly surprised me.

The result is a new book The Very Good News about Wine, which came out this month. Citing over three hundred studies published from the 1970s to the present, the book is a serious challenge to the anti-alcohol propaganda increasingly dominating the media – largely driven by a nefarious alliance of the medical authorities, a small coterie of vocal anti-alcohol activists and Alcohol Change.

My hope is that people will use the book as an authoritative resource when they next hear another rent-a-pundit trotting out the old saw that wine’s supposed health benefits are “an old wives’ tale” (quote, Sally Davies). 50 years of solid medical data are a rare example of where the science is settled: it cannot easily be overturned by anything you might read in your daily newspaper, trumpeting the latest shock-horror discovery that a glass of wine will tip you into an early grave.

So will you sign up to Dry January?

Personally I won’t, as the medical evidence is overwhelming that drinking a few glasses of wine with an evening meal is good for one’s health. You may have different motives, of which proving to yourself you’re not an alcoholic seems superficially attractive. On the other hand, you wouldn’t want to give up brushing your teeth for a month, or stop your daily exercise routines – two addictions you should embrace, as they’re obviously health-promoting. In principle, moderate wine drinking is no different.

Of course, it’s ‘your body, your choice’ whether you take the January pledge or not. However, Alcohol Change probably won’t give a toss one way or the other. The organisation’s latest accounts show that their dry months marketing ploys have already netted them over £12 million in assets.

Temperance propaganda is clearly Very Good News for them too.

Hersh: Biden Made Decision to Destroy Nord Stream 2 ‘A Few Weeks Before’ Ukraine Operation Began

by Fantine Gardinier via Sputnik

/ Go to the mediabank

Since veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh revealed in February that the US blew up the Nord Stream 2 pipeline the previous September, Western media has rushed to create an alternate narrative involving Ukrainian operatives possibly working at Kiev’s direction, and to discredit Hersh’s revelations.

The White House had already made the decision to destroy the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline by early 2022, several weeks before the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Seymour Hersh has reported in his latest expose story.

According to his report, based on comments from an American official “who is knowledgeable about the political use of energy,” by the time US President Joe Biden hosted German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the White House on February 7, 2022, he had already given the order to a CIA-led team in Norway to find a way to destroy the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, a liquified natural gas line from Russia to Germany that was slated to soon open.

That was, he noted, “a few weeks before” Ukraine intensified its attacks on the Donbass people’s republics, forcing Moscow’s hand in recognizing the independence of the breakaway states from Kiev and sending its forces into the Donbass to defend them – events that set in motion the launching of Russia’s special operation to neutralize and de-Nazify the country several days later.

After Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics on February 22, 2022, Scholz announced the termination of the Nord Stream 2 project – something he had been under pressure from Washington as well as some other European Union leaders, such as Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, to do for years.

The month prior, Republicans in the US Congress attempted to pass a billthat would have sanctioned the Russian side of the pipeline project regardless of whether or not Russia sent troops into Ukraine, and Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, had repeatedly deferred implementation of other sanctions against the pipeline in order to keep Berlin in their good graces.

According to Hersh’s report, the CIA-led team had planted the explosives on three of the four Nord Stream 2 pipes along the seafloor of the North Sea by May of 2022, but Biden delayed their detonation for months without explanation until finally giving the order in late September of that year. The bombs were detonated using a “low frequency sonar device,” he reported.

The veteran investigative journalist suggested the timing was chosen, coming at the start of autumn, in order to ensure Berlin didn’t get cold feet about the operation.

Successive German governments had been enthusiastically in support of the pipeline, which would have brought plentiful and cheap gas into Western Europe, and downplayed Washington’s suggestion that it would give Moscow leverage over European affairs.

Earlier this week, Germany’s Sefe and Norway’s Equinor, their state-owned gas firms, struck a massive $55 billion deal that would see Norway supply one-third of German gas needs for the next 10 years – essentially the same volume that Nord Stream 2 would have brought.

The US official with whom Hersh spoke quipped that the deal was “an amazing stroke of good luck for Scholz, just when his base was facing another gas-free winter.”

“Magically,” the source added, “the deal coincides with Russia’s earlier closure of gas and oil fields that – except for the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines – would have been the source of gas for the two pipelines.”

It’s unclear to what exactly the official was referring; possibly the May 2022 closure of western traffic in the Yamal-Europe pipeline, which runs from the northwestern Siberian Yamal Peninsula westward into Europe via Poland.

Ukraine: All Lithium Reserves and Mineral Resources in War Zones

by Simone Fant via Renewable Matter.eu

Geologists call it the Ukrainian shield. That land in the middle which starts from the northern border with Belarus up to the shores of the Azov Sea, in the south of Donbass. According to the studies of the Ukrainian geological service, in the ancient rocks of this shield are hidden lithium deposits with great potential. Findings that have been identified mainly around the area of Mariupol, the port city of Donbass torn apart by Russian bombing.

Lithium deposits

Lithium deposits in Ukraine

“This may not be the main reason for the invasion, but undoubtedly Ukraine’s mineral wealth is one of the reasons why this country is so important to Russia,” said Rod Schoonover, former director of the Environment and Natural Resources Section of the U.S. National Intelligence Council.
A wealth confirmed by the fact that Ukrainian lithium had begun to attract global attention as early as last year, before the Russian invasion halted exploration. Last November, in fact, the Australian company European Lithium said it was close to securing the rights to two promising deposits of lithium in the region of Donetsk (eastern Ukraine) and Kirovograd, in the center of the country. In the same month, the Chinese company Chengxin Lithium has also asked for the rights on some deposits, a move that would allow China to win the first deposit in Europe.
“Since there are no developed deposits, I highly doubt that lithium resources are the motivation for attacks in the Southeast,” Schoonover tells Renewable Matter. “But if this region falls under Russian control, lithium reserves would certainly be a co-benefit for the Kremlin. Certainly the rest of the world would have a say. It would not import lithium from a pariah state (a nation that is not recognized by the governments of other countries due to human rights violations), especially when there are better alternatives in geopolitically more favorable countries.”

Nothing is thrown away of pegmatitic rocks

One of the few geologists to have seen these ancient rocks is Andrea Dini, a researcher at the Italian CNR’s Institute of Geosciences and Georesources, who participated in three campaigns at the Khoroshiv-Volodarsk mine in northern Ukraine. “The mine I saw never produced lithium, because its rocks contain lithium minerals (zinnwaldite, trilithionite and polylithionite) that contain fluorine,” Dini tells Renewable Matter, “and are problematic for the metallurgical processes of extracting the metal. Since 1991, Ukrainians here have been extracting mostly precious stones.”
Over the past two decades, however, the Ukrainian Geological Survey has conducted scientific and strategic research, identifying several areas with lithium minerals such as spodumene with very high potential. “The very ancient rocks that lithium producers are interested in are pegmatites containing spodumene (lithium aluminum silicate), the mineral preferred by industry,” explains Dini. “These rocks do not have polluting metals such as lead, zinc and cadmium, but they contain silicates (quartz, feldspar) that as waste material can be sold to the ceramic industry.” In short, of pegmatites, nothing is thrown away. According to the researcher, Ukraine and Serbia probably have the greatest potential for extracting lithium in all of Europe.

The other mineral resources in Ukraine

Ukraine has 10% of the world’s iron reserves, 6% of titanium and 20% of graphite. “In geology, this extremely flat region is called peneplain,” Andrea Dini points out, “because it is so ancient that it has been flattened by erosion. Many of the rocks are billions of years old and you don’t see them on the surface because they are covered by layers of sediment.”
There are more than just minerals in Ukraine, however. In the north east, near the Russian border, there is a 400-million-year-old sedimentary basin filled with organic material and black shale rocks. “These are black slates with large amounts of coal and methane. For example, part of US energy independence is due to the extraction of methane (Shale Gas) from these rocks on US soil.”
There is also another sector that has a close link with Ukraine’s resources: Italian ceramics. The ceramic industrial district of Sassuolo is one of the most important in the world and the quality of its tiles also depended on the importation from Ukraine of clay and kaolin, a mineral that is extracted from the quarries of Donbass. In the Italian ceramics industry, 25% of raw materials – including clay considered prized – came from Ukraine. After the Russian invasion, companies in the district will have to find compatible and competitive alternatives. According to insiders, first of all they need to find another recipe, that is, a new mixture of clays, kaolins and feldspars with material imported from other countries.

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad Speaks the Unspoken

via Memry.tv

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad said that the Jews “who came to Palestine” are pagan converts from Khazars, and not the People of Israel, in a December 18, 2023, speech posted on Syrian Arab News Agency on YouTube. He said that there is no evidence that six million Jews died in the Holocaust and that the Nazis did not employ a special method of torture or killing for the Jews, who were killed just like other victims of World War II. Al-Assad continued to say that the Holocaust was “politicized” and used as a false pretext to transfer the Jews from Europe to Palestine. He also claimed that America was the one who supported the rise of the Nazi in Germany between the world wars.

To Defeat Zionism is to Defeat the Fear of Death

by Yukon Jack

The Eternal Wellspring of Hope trumps any evidence. The fact that there is absolutely not the slightest piece of evidence matters not, because humans want to believe. The Gospels give billions of people hope of a better life, in the afterlife. Add to that the promise of eternal life and you got a package deal, the car and a 10 year warranty to boot.

If you break down this religious stuff, disassemble the components to see how it works, humans have invented religions for one, and only one reason. They are sentient, meaning self aware that they are alive and do not want to die. They fear death, death is non-existence, and if you know you are alive, well who wants to not exist? So one promise religion makes is that with belief alone you can beat death.

Be sure to realize there is no evidence that anyone can beat death, but billions of people do believe and it is the main reason why the Gospels are so popular. Jesus beat death, and if you believe in him, you too can beat death. So when it comes to the Palestinians, they matter not, because the Christians want heaven so much, they have collectively decided to back Jews because Jesus was a Jew. And if some Palestinians have to be slaughtered, so what, if I’m going to heaven for all eternity to be with Jesus, and a few eggs have to be cracked, so be it. Christians, for that reason, are indifferent to the total humiliation and slaughter of the Palestinians. They have their eyes on the prize.

But that is not all, the other big reason the Gospels sell is because of hope of a better life. Life sucks, let’s face it, most people hate their jobs, the stress, taxes, relationships, and life in general. So the other big promise of the Gospels is that in the next life, heaven, it is perfection, no worries, no job, don’t have to work, no taxes, no suffering of any kind. With that promise, humans can then tolerate the horrible conditions on earth, because you see, all they have to do is reach the goal post, die and go to heaven – for all eternity. Hope is the cope dope while on earth.

Never mind, as you say, any proof. There is no proof, but belief goes on and what the believers really don’t like, is the naysayers like you and me. The reason why is that the doubter, the rational argument weakens their faith and belief, and they sure as hell do not want that. This is IMO why atheists are persecuted and even called “antichrists”. The thinking atheist is the mortal enemy to the faithful believing theist. Thus, anyone using reason and logic is held in contempt and will have venom spit their way. No religion can survive two words: “PROVE IT”.

What the preacher is doing is selling hope. The job of the preacher is to convince the flock of the literalness of the Gospels, because if you find one error the whole yarn could unravel. Reason is the mortal enemy of faith the sheep are told, and that is true. So another thing the believers do is exclude any non-believers from their fold, and this is a big deal, to maintain faith, the believers are very exclusionistic, they do not want to mingle with any other faith or non-faith persons. The preacher sells heaven, collects the money upfront, and never has to deliver the car. Because when you are dead, how can you sue? You can not, and so the preaching business is full of money grubbing charlatans, making outrageous claims, to collect mucho shekels.

How the Gospels sells Jesus power to beat death needs to be mentioned, Jesus starts out with small miracles, like the loaves and fishes, then the miracles increase in absurdity, he walks on water, makes the blind see, raises Lazarus from the dead. Then the big grand finale (con job), Jesus beats death himself, comes back to life, and if you believe that, you too can beat death. So the religious pitch is very clear, if you believe Jesus could raise himself from the dead, so you too will beat death by believing in him. Of course there is exactly zero evidence any of it could be true, just have to believe, so to convince you of the whopper ressurection, Jesus does a whole bunch of miracles, to convince you that he could come back to life.

So a quick recap, humans want to believe, which means the Gospels will probably never go away until humans go away (like if we are replaced by robots). The reason for religion, and why only humans have religion, is because humans are fully sentient. All one has to do is look at the Gorilla and wonder why Gorillas have no need for god to figure out why we humans are so damn weird, to believe in god and fantastic claims of afterlife. Humans are also not fit, they are domesticated. Humans have to get jobs to get money to buy food. No other animals has to do that, because all of the wild animals are fit – fit meaning they fit into the environment and just eat everything around them, and have fur and no need for houses or cars or bank accounts.

The most amazing thing about religion is that it actually has convinced billions of people that they can beat death – without any real evidence to proving it true – religion is a sales job, it convinces you of a narrative found in a book. It is not like God Almighty opening up the heavens and telling you any of this, the whole story is in a book. Thus this Gospel story held in “reverence”. But you see, it is all just make believe. Every single thing in the Gospels is fiction, Jesus is fiction, his miracles are fiction, his apostles are fiction, the very writers of the story, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are also fiction. Afterlife is fiction, the soul is fiction, the ability to survive death is fiction. All of it is 100% fiction and I am just a greatest of heretics for saying the obvious, a blasphemer, that in earlier times would of surely been burned at the stake.

I don’t care about religious threats, what I care about is how religion is playing out in end times, the believers are voting a certain way to make their beliefs come true. They will destroy the entire earth to prove that their god and beliefs are true, so with great delight they love all this death and destruction around Israel, because you see, it is prophecy coming true. But it isn’t, what is really happening is that they are willfully making their horrid beliefs come true. Christians are allied with Israel because it will force their savior to come back, or so they think. But since Jesus was never real, he can not come back, thus they will have to double down on their insanity again and again until the whole world blows up. That is the threat they pose us.
