The Trip Back Home to the Former US

From an anonymous comment:

This is a story of returning home to the US after a one year absence. The first part describes the experience the travelers had with the manager at the Spirit Airlines check-in desk and the subsequent letter of complaint to the airline. Even more telling of the state of affairs in the US is Part II.

A country, an economy, a society in a state of widespread breakdown and highly dysfunctional.

Part I

Letter of complaint to Spirit Airlines Customer Service. Flight confirmation: RJ4SPW.

On May 31, 2023, we presented ourselves at the check-in line for flight 338, after having checked in online but not being able to view or print the boarding pass.

The woman at the start of the line asked to see my passport. I showed her the passport, she marked it on her list, then I I asked, why do I need to show my passport in order to get in line to show my passport? There were very few people in line. This is stupid!

Then she asked for my wife’s passport. And I showed her my wife’s passport, and I said don’t you see that we are together?

She marked down my wife’s passport , and we went ahead to the check in.

Meanwhile we were approached by a woman who did not introduce herself but acted like a prison guard, (I’ll call her “the prison guard”) telling me that we have to present our passports to the woman at the line entry, which is what we just did. I said, I just did show her the passports.

The woman acting like a prison guard continued yelling, “listen to me! Don’t interrupt me. You need to present your passport”. I said again, I just did present the passports.

Next she called out to the check-in desk saying “Deny boarding!! deny boarding!” And in seconds a military police pulled us over and started talking to us in Spanish. I said I don’t speak Spanish, I’m a tourist. After that both of them were trying to lecture us for a few minutes, the prison guard woman yelling again and again that we did not present our passports.

Then, I called over the woman at the entry line with the list, and I asked her: “didn’t I present our passports to you ?” She said yes. She checked her list and showed it. “But you called me stupid”, she said. No, I explained to everybody, I did not say she was stupid, I was complaining about the system. And I have every right to an opinion, to my opinion! The system is stupid.

At that point the prison guard woman yelled, “Refund! no flight for you !” We were refunded and out on the street.

The entire event was an unprecedented abuse, totally out of place, unconstitutional and in contravention of the basic rights of travelers. We had business interests to attend to in the US. Besides anything else, such ill-treatment of customers is beyond any justification, norm, regulation. Throwing a U.S. citizen out in the street, in a foreign country, on top of falsely accusing us of some imaginary non-compliance or even discourtesy is a criminal act. The prison guard woman did not even inquire as to what happened.

Part II

We arrived back home in CR kind of dazed. Now, what?

OK, we’re not going to go “home”. We don’t need to go… But, wait a minute, I ordered a lot of stuff which is now being shipped to our house at the Lake, including a new iPad. What’s going to happen? Let’s see what options we still have. — Well, I actually found a different flight, $20+ less, for tomorrow with American Airlines. We have a new plan.

No check in, since we had the boarding pass, but I couldn’t stop myself from telling the guy at the help desk about yesterday’s story with Spirit. “Oh,” he said. “You were the guys, yesterday! and they called the police on you ?! No, they were wrong to do that,” etc. So that was a big story in the entire airport.

At the security check they asked me to take off my shirt. I had a shirt unbuttoned over a colored T-shirt and that was considered a security risk. I pointed out that he had his shirt on. He said, “I am the police and if you want to fly you take your shirt off”. I had to take the shirt off but I got away with telling him, “f’ the police”.

Meanwhile waiting to board our flight, we heard that the guys from Spirit were having a bad day. Due to a “computer glitch” all Spirit flights were cancelled indefinitely (it lasted more than for 6 hours as far as we know). Mayhem, chaos, distress for Spirit passengers across the entire world. God heard my curses for what happened the day before!

We arrived in Charlotte but had to wait almost an hour for the plane to have a gate available. Poor planning is evident immediately.

At the border control we were told that no paperwork was required — They use facial recognition technology. What?! Our guy at the booth is an older man. Thinking that this is a good sign, I tell him right away that facial recognition without our consent is unconstitutional, etc. He says, “so you don’t want to be photographed” ? “Well, how long are you storing these photos, where? I hope the Russians are going to win …” — That’s OK, he says, you can skip that. He then processes our passports and hands us a special yellow card. “Now you go to the office.” Ooops . . . that must have been a patriotic military veteran.

We had no baggage other than small carry-ons, mostly empty. At the “office” two bored lads are laughing. They don’t care. Out we go.

Now the plot thickens. First, we had to go through security screening again in order to board the domestic connection to NY. As usual we opted out of the X-ray/microwave machine (mostly in order to start a whole circus of pat-downs and in order to harass the whole staff, as I actually told them straight up).

We made it through, after instructing all of them that we need a revolution to hang all the criminal elites, starting with the demented president. Interestingly, quite a few agreed.

We rewardered ourselves with an ice cream and headed to the gate. Surprise, though – when we arrive at the departure gate for the connection to New York, there was nobody waiting. Oh! the flight was canceled due to “mechanical problems” – someone claims a flat tire! After a long wait in line at Customer Service, just before midnight, we got our vouchers for the 35 Km taxi drive to the hotel. Every close hotel was already booked by other canceled flights — No getting home today, for a second day.

Our taxi driver, a smart Ethiopian, explains: oh, this is nothing. Two days ago there were like 2,000 American Airlines passengers stranded in Charlotte overnight. Yesterday, there were only 900.

The taxi trip for the two of us alone for the one way, cost the airline over $40, plus the return next day, total, just under $100.

Had a good sleep and a good breakfast, all paid by AA. I should mention, this is South Carolina, and the breakfast room was populated with mostly blacks, mostly obese, oversized fat behinds, whichever way you look around.

In the morning, we called our Ethiopian friend for the drive back to the airport. How does he like life in the US? Oh, yeah, I like it, if you work hard you can make money, more freedom, everything is easy, you know. Really?… Well, yes, it’s true, it’s hard, I used to drive a big truck, an 18-wheeler, at over $2 per mile. Then there was no more work for me. A lot of the big trucks are mothballed. No business. They cannot even afford to maintain the batteries. Too expensive. “Do you have a family?” Yes, and two kids, here is a photo. “Are you not worried?” “I am very worried, I have a lot of responsibility… And, I know, it’s going to get only worse. I do see, the American blacks don’t work, and the country is spending money on Ukraine; why not on the Americans?”

Back at the airport. Security screening again. Same circus. Pat-downs. The guy who pats me down tells me just like the driver: “I know is going to be bad, I follow the events, and the stock market . . .” That reminds me of the famous quip: when your doorman gives you a stock market tip it’s time to bail out . . . This time I test positive for explosives. A different guy pats me down again. Same. Positive. Meanwhile I lecture everyone about the demented elies and why the US is going to be defeated by Russia. But they don’t know what to do with me. I keep laughing. So all of this technology and waste of money on your salaries? For what?

The manager comes. Nice guy. He doesn’t know what to do. He asks me if I would go through the X-ray machine? No way, I say, I opted out, but I offer that I can go through the metal detector. Oh, really, great! Let’s do that. I went through the metal detector like a fish through the water. No “beep.” Meanwhile we have a full staff conference to decide what to do with me. Including now the police chief, another woman.

What to do? I keep laughing, yes, the revolution, that’s what we need. – They let me go.

Finally, we even manage to get on board the plane. We’ll be home soon… Only that, not yet.

Just before take off, the plane stops. Now, what? The captain is very cordial and communicative. There is a storm in the New York area. We have to wait. I check the weather radar in New York on my phone. (That is a sign of the new technological democracy!) Not really. Some small patches of stormy rain, no big deal. I show that to the flight attendant. Look, there are no storms in New York. She snaps back: don’t you trust the captain? No, it is all incompetence, I tell her, as she walks away. Well, not that the captain is incompetent, the incompetence is of the whole country run by “affirmative action” hires – they have to employ minorities and women. Luckily, the captain is one of those reliable white men, and very on-the-ball.

The captain then says we’ll know in an hour whether we can make it within the 3-hour remaining window that allows the returning crew to fly or we need to disembark, cancel the flight or wait for another crew.

At just 1 minute before the 3 hour limit, the captain gets the go ahead, he pushes hard on the throttle and we take off at a blazing speed. And we make it home. End of story.

The moral of the story, coming back to the US after a long absence, we found the country decrepit on several levels, and on the verge of desintegration. Everything is very expensive*. Everybody is grumpy and surly. Incompetence prevails. Minorities are everywhere, all shades of black, brown and Asiatics, most of them sporting a chip on their sholders. Utter decadence in outlook. Young women and even not-so-young, mostly whites!, parading around the airport in short shorts, almost underwear, half naked, as the typical outfit; bad postures, bad bodies, and a lot of “no speak English”.

We found the local economy in grave condition. Prices at the supermarket are between double and triple last we knew. But worse than everything else, everywhere the working class is non-white, non-English. When trying to ask for something that was available a few years ago in the supermarket, they never heard of it. In the entire enormous supermarket we came across only 3 (older) whites. “You moved to Costa Rica?” – “Oh, how lucky you.”

*P.S. A few price comparisons:

A nonstop round flight San Jose to New York a few years ago, around $200. Today over $800. But one can get a discount price for a 1-stop flight at $375, if lucky.

A taxi ride from the airport to our house: 2 years ago = $70. One year ago = $100. Today: $140 and the guy was not happy with my tip of $14.

P.P.S. This is the response we received from Spirit: “I’ve shared your experience with our management team so they can investigate how our team performed and work to improve the service we provide to our Guests.”

P.P.P.S. We were just notified by American Airlines that our bags were delayed and that they will deliver them at no cost to our home . . . Nice. The only problem is that we have not checked any bag, and we are in good order. Thanks.

Ukraine War for Another 20 Years?!

Even Dmitry Medvedev said that the war in Ukraine could last for decades. Is that true? His logic is simple.
1. Ukraine. Losses in the year about 100 thousand people. This from the population at the beginning of 2022 of 30 million is 0.3%. In 10 years, 3% of the population will be killed, 6% of men. This is still very little for the political system in Ukraine now, which is an artificial polytechnological totalitarian regime, like a sect. Society won’t even notice. Ukraine will be ready to fight for another 20 years.
2. USA. Almost no loss. Swap old weapons for newer ones. The military-industrial complex is loading a little more. And the United States has a lot of political benefits from the war in Ukraine.
3. European Union. The expenses are not big. Small problems from refugees. But everything is very tolerable.
4. Russia. Losses are apparently 2 times less than Ukraine. With a population of 5 times (in Russia 150 million, in Ukraine 30 million) more, the relative loss of less than 0.3% of the population over 10 years. That is 10 times less. It will not affect politics and economics. The Russian economy has not fallen from the sanctions.
5. Therefore the conclusion is clear. 10 years of war is quite within the power of everyone. After that, everyone will calmly go for another 10 years of war.
6. Ask about the economy of Ukraine? Yes, everything is fine. Ukraine does not need an economy. All the needs of the inhabitants of Ukraine, firstly, are artificially minimized, and secondly, they are covered from the EU budget.

Do Medvedev’s options for the development of the conflict in Ukraine seem realistic? The EU will not divide Ukraine. The US and the EU do not need a prosperous Ukraine, they do not need Ukraine as a normal member of the EU. The fate of Ukraine according to the plans of the United States and Europe is only Anti-Russia. Only a poor, evil country, grinning at Russia. As long as Russia exists.

Chomsky: Europe May Face Decline, Deindustrialization by Staying in ‘US-Dominated System’

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Europe will experience a likely decline and deindustrialization if it chooses to stay within the system dominated by the United States, renowned US academic and philosopher Noam Chomsky told Sputnik.

“Europe has a major decision to make: Will it stay within the US-dominated system, facing likely decline and even, some predict, deindustrialization?” Chomsky said. “Or will it accommodate in some fashion to its natural economic partner to the East, rich in mineral resources that Europe needs and a gateway to the lucrative China market?”

Chomsky noted that these questions have arisen in one form or another since World War II.

“The Gaullist concept of Europe linking with Russia as an independent force in world affairs found echoes in Willy Brandt’s Ostpolitik and other initiatives, and more broadly in Gorbachev’s proposals after the collapse of the Soviet Union,” he said. “Again, we can only speculate.”

When asked whether he thinks we are on the threshold of a new world order and if the Ukrainian conflict can be a catalyst for major changes, Chomsky said: “There is much controversy about the shape of the emerging world system.”

Chomsky explained the basic alternatives are a multipolar United Nations-based system or a unipolar “rules-based” system, where the United States sets the rules and as the record reveals, disregards them when it chooses to.

“The former is largely supported by most of the world. The latter is adopted by the Anglosphere, Europe, Japan and a few others,” Chomsky added, noting that Russia’ special military operation “provided the United States with a most welcome gift, driving Europe into Washington’s pocket and thus strengthening its demand for a unipolar ‘rules-based’ order.”

“There are many uncertainties as to how these tensions will be resolved,” he said.

Earlier in May, US investor Jim Rogers told Sputnik that political unions like the European Union have never survived in history and this bloc is already experiencing problems.

The renowned US academic and philosopher further told Sputnik that he is hopeful Europe will be inclined toward the vision of former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev ‘From Lisbon to Vladivostok’ before it gets worse.

“I also think there is considerable merit in Gorbachev’s proposal for a ‘common European home’ from Lisbon to Vladivostok with no military alliances and common efforts to move toward a social democratic future,” Chomsky said.

The United States chose to pursue the Atlanticist option, based on NATO, which has recently been expanded to the Indo-Pacific region in a Washington-led effort to enlist Europe in its confrontation with China, Chomsky said.

“I hope that the future will tend towards Gorbachev’s vision, before it is too late,” Chomsky added.

None of the actions taken by the successors of former US President George H.W. Bush in violation of the agreements between him and then-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on NATO should have taken place, Chomsky said.

Chomsky noted that Bush and Gorbachev agreed that Germany should be unified and join NATO, but the military alliance should not extend “one inch to the East” of Germany.

“The documents, which are clear and unambiguous, are readily available on the website of the National Security Archive. President Bush lived up to the agreement,” Chomsky said.

However, Chomsky said Bush’s successor, Bill Clinton, violated the agreement, overriding the strong objections of high-level US diplomats and a wide range of political analysts, who warned that actions to expand NATO were reckless and provocative.

“His successors went further, also abrogating major arms control agreements that had significantly reduced the threat of war. None of these actions should have taken place, in my opinion,” Chomsky said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly called for building a united peaceful Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

Last October, Putin said that he considers it possible to create a common humanitarian and economic space in Eurasia, stating that “hope dies last.”

Color Revolution in Pakistan?

by Germán Gorraiz- Political analyst
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), founded in 2001 by the Shanghai Five (China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) and later joined by Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan, together with the ALBA countries and Iran, form the hard core of resistance to the world hegemony of the United States and Great Britain.
Consequently, the avowed aim of the US would be to dynamite the said organization, having Balochistan, Kashmir and Xinjiang as theaters of operations with the avowed aim of implementing constructive chaos following the Brzezinskinian strategy of the “clash of civilizations”. This doctrine consists of achieving the confrontation of China with Islam (about 1,500 million followers) as well as drying up its oil sources in the Islamic countries of Central Asia in order to achieve total Chinese dependence on Russian energy and in a later phase to end up confronting them with each other and finally subjugating them and implementing the new order under the Anglo-Jewish-American aegis.
China and the diversification of its energy sources
Russia and China sealed a stratospheric oil contract, one of the largest in the history of the energy industry, whereby the Russian company Rosneft (the country’s largest oil company) will supply oil to the Asian giant for 25 years for 270 billion dollars (some 205 billion euros). This, together with the gas mega-contract signed by Russia’s Gazprom and China’s CNPC, whereby Russia will supply the Asian country with 38,000 billion cubic meters of natural gas for an approximate amount of 400,000 million dollars and with a 30-year term through the Sila Sibiri (Power of Siberia) gas pipeline.
This would lay the economic foundations of the Euro-Asian Union that began its journey on January 1, 2015, as an economic and military alternative to the US project to create a Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
However, in an attempt to avoid Russian energy dependence, China is building an extensive port network, including ports, bases and observation stations in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Burma, the paradigm being the strategic port in Pakistan, Gwadar (the “gate” to the Persian Gulf), 72 kilometers from the border with Iran and some 400 kilometers from the most important oil transport corridor and very close to the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The port was built and financed by China and is operated by the state-owned China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC). The region surrounding the port of Gwadar contains two thirds of the world’s oil reserves and through it passes 30 percent of the world’s oil and 80 percent of that received by China; it is on the shortest route to Asia (Silk Road), which makes it a direct threat to US global geopolitics as the US seeks to dry up China’s energy sources in Central Asia.

Color Revolution in Pakistan?
President Biden declared during an event at the Democratic Campaign Committee, the transcript of which has been published by the White House, that “Pakistan may be one of the most dangerous nations in the world because it has nuclear weapons and no cohesion”. For his part, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement published by the Geo TV channel, expressed his rejection of Biden’s words, stating that “Pakistan rejects the statements allegedly made by the US president, which are factually incorrect and misleading”, statements intended to imply the dissatisfaction of the US with Pakistan’s current government, which as a collateral effect will bring Pakistan and China closer together.
Pakistan’s dangerous rapprochement with China has accelerated the Pentagon’s doctrine of Balkanizing of Pakistan and encouraging the independence movement in the province of Baluchistan, where the strategic port of Gwadar is located, with the avowed aim of making China’s flagship project, the “Belt and Road Initiative”, unviable.
Given the failure of the insurgency in Balochistan, the US will proceed with the implementation of a color revolution against the current Sharif government under the tutelage of the army, the real shadow power. Thus, the CIA is said to have taken advantage of the eight-day remand in custody of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, accused of an alleged corruption offense, known as the “Qadir Trust”, in order to steer the protests of the followers of his party, the PTI, the largest political force in Pakistan. The riots have been concentrated in the eastern province of Punjab, the most populated and industrialized of the country, where the Army has been deployed to control the demonstrators with the result of more than a thousand arrests and countless wounded.
The aim of such a color revolution would be to provoke the intervention of the Army and unleash a wave of repression and deaths, which could produce a schism in the monolithic Pakistani establishment or deep state, made up of the armed forces, the intelligence led by the Inter-Services Intelligence Agency (the dreaded ISI), as well as government officials and paramilitary groups. Thus, the CIA will try to use a bloody repression to provoke a coup d’état within the military establishment by the generals in favor of establishing relations with the US who, after an interregnum presided over by the military, would implement a civilian government presided over by Imran Khan which would gravitate in the US orbit.
This Government would be under the tutelage of the Army and the US would make Pakistan return to the path of the pseudo-democracies under the tutelage of the “American friend” in order to achieve, in a later phase, a confrontation between China and Islam as well as to dry up China’s sources of oil from the Islamic countries of Central Asia.

Assessment of the war in Ukraine by Igor Strelkov

Igor Strelkov is the nom de guerre of Igor Girkin

I had a conversation with a retired colonel, a former commander of a motorized rifle regiment. He seriously convinced me that everything is fine in the Ukraine war, we are advancing, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are retreating. Every day we grind thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and soon Ukraine will have no one to fight. To my question, where does he get such information from, he replied that he closely follows the television news. And the Internet? He answered – he has a computer at home, but he does not know how to use it, and most importantly, he does not want to use the enemy Internet in principle, since American propaganda is going on there around the clock.

And I sadly thought that if even the former commander of a regiment has such a mindset, then what can we say about the mood of the majority of Russian television viewers.

But such sentiments in Russian society in the conditions of the failure of the NWO are a direct path to disaster.

Marginal remarks. In the end, I will say … ..

Five short theses.

  1. SMO (Special Military Operation) is over. Since when, is not the point (my hypothesis is at the beginning of the summer of 2022, but that’s not the point). What is important is that we entered into a conflict of medium intensity with a coalition of the world’s largest states led by the United States, which set the direct task of dismantling our statehood and “disaggregating” the people of Russia, who are recognized – in all their national and sub-ethnic manifestations – as incorrigible. In the final, according to their scenario, we should not exist either as a state, or as a country, or as a single people. And they are mentally prepared for it. Today’s European totalitarianism is the second step towards the “Plan Ost 2.0”.

  2. Victory in the fight by a coalition of more than 50 states, both with elements of a hybrid war and with growing elements of direct military confrontation, with the virtual absence of allies (those that exist, with the exception of fraternal Belarus, are hypocritical and do not believe in our victory, this is, I think now obvious to everyone) requires the transfer of the state administration system, if not to the military, then to the mobilization rails. It is impossible to sit out until the systemic crisis in the United States. It was a good idea, but apparently not…. The United States is accelerating the crisis in a controlled manner and plans to get out of it by speeding up the defeat of Russia. Like under Reagan in the 1980s. One can only play ahead of the curve by creating an unexpected military-political situation for the United States.

  3. In order to win, the war must become – popular. No quotes. The political and social unity of the front and rear must be ensured. Based on a single ideological vector. Victory vector. And this means that we need to start talking to the society. It is not for society to speak. And talk to the community. Very big difference.

  4. It is impossible to solve this problem in the current state of the Russian elite. The elites obviously don’t want victory, they want a “defeat on points” and an “honorable surrender”. They do not want to face unpleasant realities. They are not capable of that. The moral and political decay of the elites is becoming the most obvious non-military risk in the current conflict for Russia. (Side note: the situation, in fact, on the “front” inspires me much more optimism than the situation in the rear). A purge of the elites is inevitable. The question is already in what mode to carry it out: from above, gradually and sparingly, or “as usual”.

  5. It is impossible to demand some kind of “mobilization” and “belt tightening” from society in the current state of the elite and the state, when even the extremely tense situation at the front did not make internal squabbles calm down. Under such conditions, attempts to tighten the “nuts” in relation to the “taxable class” will be more than counter-productive. Rather destabilizing, to put it bluntly. A sharp rise in social discipline is needed. But for everyone. This requires political will. The presence of which, alas, is becoming less and less obvious.

On this, colleagues, with your permission, I am taking a moratorium on any comments on the situation in the ATO (Anti-Terror Operation) zone and around it. For a month. But we’ll see.
The introduction of censorship must begin with the introduction of self-censorship.
And I advise you the same.

Finally, people with brains began to see what I clearly saw (and warned about) already 9 years ago …

Judge Napolitano on Trump’s Uphill Battle – Must See

“Ten Days” that Changed the World

Over the last month we have seen astonishing geopolitical developments.

In February China publicly lambasted U.S. hegemony, launched a global security initiative and offered a peace plan for Ukraine.

On March 10 China mediated an agreement which restored relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

On March 15 Moscow rolled out the red carpet for the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Yesterday al-Assad and his wife Asma arrived in the UAE for talks with Sheikh Mohammed

Also yesterday Iran and Iraq signed a security cooperation agreement that will stop the CIA sponsored Kurdish activities against Iran.

Also yesterday King Salman of Saudi Arabia invited the President of Iran to a visit in Riyadh.

For the last 30 years the U.S. considered the Middle East as its backyard. Twenty years ago it illegally invaded Iraq and caused 100,000nds of death and decades of chaos. Now China, by peaceful means, changed the balance in the Middle East within just one month.

Today China’s President Xi arrived in Moscow for three days of talks with Russia’s President Putin. An article by President Putin was published in the People’s Daily while Russian media published a signed article by President Xi.

The U.S. is afraid that China’s peace initiative for Ukraine will gain ground. It has openly come out against a cease-fire and peace talks. I had thought that was for Ukraine to decide?

It is likely that Putin will publicly endorse the Chinese peace plan while the U.S. is paranoid that peace might indeed happen. It may even want to sabotage the Saudi Iranian deal.

China’s people are by the way the most happy in the world.

Xi and Putin are now running the multilateral global show. Biden and the hapless ‘unilateral’ people around him are left aside.
