The New Time of Troubles, Part II — Putin Overruled the General Staff

by John Helmer, Moscow @bears_with

The illustration of power coming out of the barrel of a gun is from a comic book. Contemplating the reality of Russia’s position in Syria, no one in a position to know believes in cartoon captions, the credibility of the gun, or the direction in which the horse is now running.
Military sources in Moscow have told a tale of President Vladimir Putin’s decision not to defend the Syrian Arab Army and the Damascus government of Bashar al-Assad. That decision, the sources claim, was taken at least two weeks before the Turkish break-out from Idlib began on November 27, and was conveyed to Assad personally by December 6.
It had been hinted at four days earlier, on December 2, when Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, made an urgent telephone call to Putin. In principle, the Kremlin announced, Putin and Pezeshkian agreed on “unconditional support for the efforts of Syria’s legitimate authorities to restore constitutional order and maintain the country’s territorial integrity.”
In practice, there was a Russian condition. Putin told Pezeshkian that Russian anti-aircraft units in Syria would not operate against Israeli attack and defend the Iranian air bridge to Khmeimim for the troops and arms which Assad had been requesting urgently, and which the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was ready to send. Putin also told the Iranian President that Russian ground forces and artillery would not engage Turkish forces moving southward, and would not bomb them from the air.
By the time Putin and Pezeshkian were speaking, after days of the closed-door debate with the General Staff, Putin believed he had the word of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Russia’s principal military bases at Tartus and Khmeimim would not be attacked and Russian forces not threatened. Their pre-condition was that Putin would not encourage or defend Iranian reinforcements.
The General Staff and GRU warned Putin that Erdogan and Netanyahu could not be trusted, and that without Russian military force to deter them, plus Iranian troops, they would take over Syrian territory – the Turks down the coast to the Lebanese border and to Damascus; the Israelis across the Golan and the Quneitra buffer zone into the southern outskirts of Damascus.
The Security Council met openly only once with Putin during this debate – on December 5. The official communiqué does not report that Syria was discussed.
“Russia does not betray friends in difficult situations,” was the line the Kremlin told the Foreign Ministry to instruct its diplomats to announce after Assad had landed in Moscow on December 8, adding the footnote that “a deal has been done to ensure the safety of Russian military bases.” The Ministry spokesman, Maria Zakharova, did not go so far. “Our number-one priority is ensuring the safety of the Russian citizens currently residing in Syria, and protecting Russia’s property and its diplomatic, military and other missions,” she said.
Zakharova was signalling there was no deal for the bases short of evacuation from Syria, with terms of safe passage still to be negotiated with the Turks. The camouflage for this is a multinational negotiation the Foreign Ministry is proposing for Russia, Turkey, Iran, the Gulf Arab states, and the United Nations special envoy for Syria.
Asked what reaction Russia has to the Israeli occupation of southern Syria, Zakharova said: “it is incumbent upon all members of the international community, especially neighbouring nations, to exhibit restraint and an elevated level of responsibility by refraining from actions that could provoke further deterioration of the situation in Syria.” Asked what role Israel and the US had played in the invasion and military coup in Syria, she replied: “The situation is being analyzed. There will be even more facts qualifying what happened in Syria.”
Zakharova was not asked for the ministry’s assessment of the part Erdogan had played. Instead, she said: “Our country respects the leaders of friendly countries, maintains dialogue with them and develops relations with them.”
The Kremlin record of Putin’s direct telephone conversation with Erdogan on December 3 claims Putin told Erdogan he should agree “to stop radical groups’ terrorist aggression against the Syrian state.” Erdogan, who initiated the call, didn’t agree.
The General Staff understood Putin to believe that he had the agreement of Turkey, Israel and indirectly of the United States for a de facto partition of Syria into four military control zones, like Germany following Adolf Hitler’s suicide in Berlin on April 30, 1945. The General Staff warned Putin that Russian military capacities in the bases would be too weak to enforce his verbal exchanges with Erdogan and Netanyahu; that a Russian control zone around the bases could not be protected from a forced evacuation; and that if Putin agreed to this, he was risking the destruction of Russian credibility with strategic allies, Iran first of all, then China.
Ex-President Dmitry Medvedev was then sent to Beijing on December 12 to explain and assure President Xi Jinping. Xi has not been reassured. The General Staff messaged Putin, “We told you so”. Now read on.AD_4nXeDJBCzFzpxWOUJq7lPdLf-JGtASO7EXoefTjM83069LtLq_6fsnNux1K-81zR7Cd9HdRDLtLzcJ64eqiCAtJvslw_9QP6BAhKJvVlZI21jR4GgOsyLIBqtioXZgMOrDnX1vqU7SQ8rixfL-JNXSg?key=eWEO7sUORNTt0vpQ74n7vSMx

In the Chinese communiqué of the Xi-Medvedev meeting, Xi’s line was reported as “the need to uphold the three principles of no expansion of the battlefield, no escalation of fighting and no provocation by any party, to promote the easing of the situation as soon as possible.” The communiqué also reports the Chinese as accepting Medvedev’s assurance that there will be no fresh surprises to undermine Russia’s promises of strategic alliance with China. “The Russian side will unswervingly implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote strategic coordination.”
A hint is surfacing in the Russian military blogs – endorsed by the GRU-linked reporter Yevgeny Krutikov — that if and when the Tartus naval base is evacuated by the Russians, an alternative naval base arrangement may be made at Tobruk in Libya.AD_4nXdJLXoKIxXm30SmWuys-wDKemaKuXtPNpDaqQDkYtdDkh0rgyk2uwZ4jI2Al-8Eb919vpGnuv396cRKBWeSeCFYOSKK8OTWfTfKEctmjuYoawZocG50cEq9rK6WInpQfa4NMwPXy9qBKp6U8fi3H98?key=eWEO7sUORNTt0vpQ74n7vSMx

BBC, the British state propaganda organ, is also reporting the possibility of a Russian fleet redeployment to Tobruk. It is unlikely that Erdogan, Netanyahu, or the incoming Trump Administration will agree to the reinforcement of the Russian military position in Libya.AD_4nXd9Hu2cgL6fRcnqkQr3OIqrOirsxO_8j0Fx1uE_MfGyBwrnKsCPqsL1Me3ZzfrR0Y11U2QXvDG2adh8KFNbwFNRRNEyYg52MHtkZn0nKUUuSZB8RDm3vVz5dYtyJPPe91YAv9I31Xp3thb_YEIojAM?key=eWEO7sUORNTt0vpQ74n7vSMx

A well-informed Moscow source comments there is no surprise in Moscow at Putin’s decision-making to favour Israel and Turkey at the expense of the Arabs and Iran. The source also warns that the surprise expressed by Anglo-American podcasters who support Putin in the Ukraine war “reflects their readiness to say what they believe the Kremlin wants to hear – with or without reward.”
An accurate guide to the Kremlin propaganda line right now, the source indicates, is a Moscow-based American academic named Andrew Korybko. He has turned the General Staff’s warning upside down, defending Putin’s decision to accommodate Israel and Turkey in Syria as reflecting the realistic military balance in the Middle East right now. “Putin is a proud lifelong philo-Semite,” Korybko says, “who never shared the Resistance’s unifying anti-Zionist ideology, instead always expressing very deep respect for Jews and the State of Israel…Russia dodged a bullet by wisely choosing not to ally with the now-defeated [Arab-Iranian] Resistance Axis since it would have needlessly ruined its relations with Israel, the undisputable victor of the West Asian Wars. Putin made the right choice, which was always driven by his rational calculation of what was in Russia’s objective interests as a state, not due to ‘Zionist influence’.”
“This is toadying,” the Moscow source comments, but indicative. “The toad is giving voice to those who think, plan, decide. He is giving the clearest official line on it all.”
A Moscow military source suspects that Putin has “traded” with the General Staff, exchanging the evacuation of the Russian bases in Syria with permission to accelerate missile operations against the regime in Kiev, against US and NATO planning and operations units in the Ukraine, and intensification of the electric war in Kiev, Lvov and western Ukraine. The source adds that the test of this “trade” will be whether the General Staff launches strikes over Friday and Saturday in retaliation for the resumption of US-Ukrainian ATACMS launches on Wednesday night against Taganrog.AD_4nXf_8Z5agijhTu2uZ2krsDos20QFV68nOxXI24lLDrTzopWK0nI1Q_CzgcknMGIj-4ZrCmmjiOkNL1D6K93zgYJm0GHUhbOI4xgEirk1OClFoymMU_kUBxaRuv4DRBVTZ4UW1E0bgmgKuZtrhCZmCA?key=eWEO7sUORNTt0vpQ74n7vSMx
ATACMS missile part photographed at Taganrog on Wednesday evening, December 11. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that six American-made ATACMS missiles were used in the strike. “This attack by Western long-range weapons will not remain unanswered, appropriate measures will be taken,” the Ministry declared.

Trump’s Second Front Against Russia

by Claudiu Secara

In a few words, the people behind Trump understand that the West cannot win a military confrontation against Russia over Ukraine. Pretty obvious at this stage.

The Russian army started the invasion with the false assumption that Ukraine would collapse just by the show of the Russian military columns. That was hubris and it cost the Russian army huge losses in men and materiel. Ukraine had its defenses up and they were well informed by the US intelligence as to where the invasion was heading; they just ambushed the unsuspecting troops in a very painful way.

That first moment gave the Ukrainians and the West confidence that the Russian army was just a shade of its former glory. But that euphoria didn’t last too long. After three years of facing each other, it is the Ukrainian army which is suffering ambush after ambush.

Faced with humiliating defeat on the battlefield, the West had to change tack. Stop the bloodshed, call for a ceasefire, freeze the frontline and take a different offensive against Russia.

And that’s how we came to have Trump, fully endorsed by the oligarchy. Even the lifelong billionaire democrats demonstrated in the last round of the electoral charade that they’d got the memo and endorsed Trump.

So what’s different now? The quintessential snake oil salesman, Trump promised everything and one more to the delusional masses. End of the war in the first day and full economic recovery in the next day.

So let’s follow the Trumpian peace plan. First, snatch Syria from the arms of Russia with a snap of the fingers. Inflict the most humiliating defeat on Russia in recent memory. Induce the loss of credibility in Russia’s omnipotence among its cheerleaders and take away its vital stronghold in tbe Middle East. Show the world that the emperor has no cloths. The loss of Syria is incalculable in terms of future projection of strength by Russia. On top of that Russia is now virtually surrounded. It is in a deadly chokehold. Turkey, Syria, Iraq and soon to be Iran are blocking Russia’s vital access to the world. Every move outside its borders can now be monitored and placated.

But even more disturbing is the success crowning the Islamist fervor right at Russia’s southern borders. The Islamists from the outside can now infiltrate Russia’s souther border almost with impunity. That is the next front the West is preparing for Russia while Russia celebrates its takeover of Donbas.

This second front is what Trump is all about. His friendly gestures regarding Ukraine are only the pantomime of the prestidigitator while stealing your watch.

Is an Unprecedented Political Scenario in the USA Possible?

by Germán Gorraiz Lopez – Analyst

Donald Trump’s first Presidential term was marked by extreme volatility due to his paranoid personality, although the leitmotiv of his mandate was to implement a Presidential State with a clearly autocratic hue, an Orwellian form of Government that could crystallize after the Presidential Elections of 2024.

With Trump having omnipotent power in his upcoming presidency, he will be able to implement a dystopian dictatorship that will incorporate the paternalistic overtones of a soft dictatorship; and that might explain his cryptic message to the Christian communities: “Christians, go out and vote. Just this once. You won’t have to do it anymore… in four more years, it will be solved, everything will be fine. No, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.”

The new Trumpian system of government will be characterized by the cult of the leader, censorship in the media, and Orwellian surveillance of a population that rejects his postulates.

Likewise, he has promised the mass expulsion of undocumented immigrants, making use of the US Alien Enemies Act that dates back to 1798. President-elect Donald Trump has promised large-scale deportations that could affect close to 15 million illegal immigrants.

The Insurrection Act

The so-called Insurrection Act that was passed by the U.S. Congress on March 3, 1807, is a “federal law authorizing the use of land and naval forces of the United States in cases of insurrection”; however, the Act is ambiguous enough to include peaceful demonstrations that do not fit the description of disorder, insurrection or rebellion.

For his new presidential term, Trump is therefore considering implementing an Orwellian government and bringing back to life the Insurrection Act of 1807 to contain the foreseeable outbreaks of citizen revolt by calling the National Guard and the Army to the streets, thus creating an unprecedented political scenario, a negative dystopia that will mean the end of the decadent U.S. democracy.

Long-term Israel

Lots of bad things are yet to happen elsewhere, but think about the even longer-term trajectory for Israel, because that is the greatest threat. You have only two places in the world right now with an openly professed genocidal racial supremacist ideology copied directly from Nazi Germany – Israel and Ukraine. So those are the greatest threats to the world.

What happens in the immediate future is that Israel will finish off Gaza and the West Bank and occupy and ethnically cleanse at least the south of Lebanon and as much of of southern Syria as it wants.

Then there might be a pause for a bit to consolidate control, but ultimately what someone there wrote for The Times of Israel the other day will still hold – “Israel needs lebensraum for its exploding population”. Yes, exactly in those words. Not even hiding it anymore – it is the exact same ideology as in 1930s Germany, but in an Israeli version.

So the demographic pressure will be relieved for a bit through genocide of the neighboring populations, but then it will build up again. Rinse and repeat to the Greater Israel of that infamous Nile-to-the-Euphrates map most people have presumably seen.

If they are even bothered to justify it, it will be through the October 7th playbook, which is why they are installing radical islamists in power in Syria now – that will be used as cover for the subsequent rounds of genocide and ethnic replacement.

The problem is it doesn’t stop there – demographic pressure will continue building. So who is next to be put on the menu decades further down the line? Most likely Europe — to the south and southeast it is the Arabian and Sahara deserts, to the east it is the Iranian and Central Asian ones; fertile land is to be found in a northern and northwestern direction. And Europe by that time will itself be full of islamists and greatly destabilized.

Rinse and repeat and in a few centuries the whole world will be genocided out and replaced. This is where it is all potentially headed.

P.S. The greatest tragedy of what is happening now is that Israel didn’t have any strategic depth originally. From Lebanon and Syria and Egypt you could do a preventive first strike on their nuclear weapon systems before they could fire them and you could shoot down their strategic missiles before they could reach their mid-course phase (which is the only moment you have a realistic chance of shooting them down). Now they have acquired that strategic depth. The use-it-or-lose-it principle has never been shown to be more prescient than during the last year…

One more thing to add – this will also make them even less controllable by the US. Right now the US is fully politically captured, but if it wasn’t, it has the military-technical means to contain Israel if some miracle ever happened, it was no longer captured, and someone decided to fight the monster.

But if you think things are bad now when Israel has to rely on the US for such support, just wait for when it no longer does…

People were quite surprised at how fast the Iraqi army folded, too. Eventually, it turned out that a good part of the top officers had been bought of. I expect the same here – and if Iran and Russia got word of it, it explains both why they pushed Assad to compromise and didn’t want to get involved.

If those top officers were bought, what prevented Russia and Iran from offering more?

What happened in reality was that Russia and Iran stopped funding and arming the SAA years ago. And here is the logical result.

The same argument applies to Ukraine — Nuland was bragging about how it cost a mere $5B to flip it.

Well, could Russia have invested a lot more than those $5B into preventing that outcome given what was at stake?

How much have the last three years cost them?

Same story in Syria – how much will what happened the last two weeks cost them in the future

What is changing in the Middle East

by Thierry Meyssan via Voltairnet.

The first consequence of the Israeli massacres in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen is not what we expected. To this day, the criminals in power in Tel Aviv continue their conquest with the weapons they are given. The transformation was first in Israel itself and in the Jewish diaspora, forcing the IDF to accept an unwritten ceasefire in Lebanon, while benefiting from Washington’s help to move the fighting to Syria. The Ukrainian and Lebanese fronts merged and moved to Syria.

WHY DON’T WE SEE THE MASSACRES IN THE MIDDLE EAST?

In recent years, the Israeli peace movement has been dismantled, anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism have been confused, and the narrative of a clash of civilizations has been spread. These three errors prevent us from seeing and understanding what is happening in the Middle East.

The peace movement of Nahum Goldman, president of the World Zionist Organization, no longer exists. Its goal was to make Israel the spiritual and moral center of all Jews, a neutral state on the model of Switzerland, with international security guarantees, and a permanent symbolic international presence. Goldman, who had denounced the trial of Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem and not by an international tribunal (which allowed the revisionist Zionists to mask their relations with him), negotiated a just and lasting peaceful coexistence with Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and with that of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Yasser Arafat, and was even arrested in Israel.

The historian Bernard Lewis, who was an advisor to Benjamin Netanyahu when he was Israeli ambassador to the UN, invented, in 1957, for the National Security Council of the United States of which he was a member, the strategy of the “Clash of Civilizations”. It was a question of presenting as inevitable the confrontation between Western and Islamic civilizations, then Chinese and so on in order to justify the successive Western wars. His assistant, Samuel Huntington, a former collaborator of the South African apartheid secret services, popularized this strategy, in 1993, by giving it the appearance of an academic observation. He was paid by the CIA for this propaganda work. Although his work is an intellectual mishmash that does not stand up to analysis, it has penetrated our minds. This stupid theory is used today by Benjamin Netanyahu to justify his wars on “seven fronts” in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Yemen. Yet the same Netanyahu had himself photographed, in September 2014, at the Ziv Medical Center in Zefat visiting 500 Al-Qaeda officers being treated in Israel [1]. Thus, it is possible to come to an agreement with jihadists when they massacre civilians in Syria, but not to come to an agreement with Palestinians when they demand a state.

Nathan Sharansky [2], who was deputy prime minister under General Ariel Sharon, conceived the narrative according to which it is the Palestinians as a whole and not certain Israeli leaders who refuse peace. Then, he invented that Iranian revolutionaries wanted to throw all Israeli Jews into the sea (while Jews live peacefully in Iran and are represented in Parliament). Finally, he organized international media campaigns to create confusion between “nationalism”, “Zionism” and “revisionist Zionism”, then to equate “anti-Semitism” and “anti-Zionism” (in this game the Israeli daily Haaretz would be anti-Semitic).

In 2004, Sharansky wrote with Ron Dermer, a binary book, The Cause of Democracy, to assure us that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. Dermer became Israel’s ambassador to the United States (2013-2021), then Minister of Strategic Affairs (from 2023 to today), a position in which he organizes the fight against the BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) in the world.

Nathan Sharansky continues his work discreetly today, both in the United States and in Ukraine where he was born, through the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGASP). This American association is abundantly funded by Ron Dermer’s ministry. It was the organization, for example, that organized the congressional hearings of the rectors of the major universities to force them to repress the manifestations of anti-Semitism on the grounds of anti-Semitism.

It goes without saying that Bernard Lewis, Samuel Huntington, Nathan Sharansky and Ron Dermer are not “Zionists”, but “revisionist Zionists”.

REDISTRIBUTION OF THE CARDS IN THE MIDDLE EAST

In this atmosphere of generalized lies, the positions of each community in the Middle East are changing. This is a consequence of Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempt to conquer the north of the Gaza Strip and the south of Lebanon. Gradually, all political actors, including Israeli Jews, have realized that Israeli military operations have nothing to do with the stated goals: the liberation of Hamas hostages and the return of Israelis from the north of the country to their homes. The Netanyahu coalition is continuing the colonial project of Vladimir Jabotinsky (1880-1940): the creation of an empire in the Levant, from the Nile to the Euphrates.

This project has no connection with the ancient Kingdom of Jerusalem, which included only the holy city and its immediate suburbs, but aims to restore the ancient Assyrian empire as Jabotinsky’s patron, Benito Mussolini, wanted to restore the ancient Roman empire.

Responding to the challenge of a new fascist wave of conquest of the Levant was the meaning of both the words of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, at the joint summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, on November 11 in Riyadh, and those of the editor of the Israeli daily Haaretz, Amos Schocken, at the conference Israel After October 7th: Allied or Alone?, on November 27 in London.

All the protagonists agree on this observation, even if most avoid referring to the links of Jabotinsky and his disciples with the fascists and the Nazis. However, Westerners still refuse to open their eyes and treat this conflict as if it were not political, but ethnic, as if it pitted some Jews against Arabs, or even all Jews against all Arabs.

Three elements play a particular role in the change underway:
• The victory of Jacksonian Donald Trump in the United States over the Straussian coalition of Kamala Harris. The former intend to substitute trade wars for military wars, while the latter wish to provoke Armageddon.
• The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which have unquestionable control of their neighbors’ airspace, are incapable of the slightest victory on the ground. They have no discipline and many of their men behave like thugs. In the context of the defeat of the Straussians in the United States, they no longer have as many weapons and are probably running out of many of them. Finally, several of its units, which witnessed the crimes of others, are now on the verge of rebellion.
• The Jewish diaspora, which until now supported Benjamin Netanyahu without flinching, has finally managed to distinguish its support for Israeli Jews from the crimes of their government. Since Netanyahu was indicted by the International Criminal Court on November 21, the solidarity between Jews, acquired during centuries of persecution by the goyim, no longer applies. Many Jewish personalities, who until now had kept quiet, are publicly distancing themselves from the crimes committed on the “seven fronts” and against the UN.

Iran has abandoned General Qassem Soleimani’s strategy of the “Axis of Resistance,” according to which Tehran helps and coordinates all the independent armed groups fighting against the colonization of the region. It refused to help Lebanon during the Israeli invasion, then a faction in power transmitted to Israel the coordinates of the main military leaders of Hezbollah so that they could be assassinated.

Simultaneously, Tehran and Tel Aviv staged their antagonism, both pretending to be ready for a decisive fight. However, the two Iranian attacks (Operation “Honest Promise” of April 13 and October 1) and the two Israeli attacks (of April 19 and October 26) caused almost no human damage, even if the military of both sides took advantage of it to test the defenses of the adversary [3]. A secret agreement between Washington, Tehran and Tel Aviv became evident.

On the other hand, Tehran renewed ties with the Iraqi Kurds. President Masoud Pezeshkian visited Iraq in September to meet not only with the Talabani tribe, but also with the Barzani (pro-Israeli).

In Iraq, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, spiritual leader of the Shiite community, spoke out to deliver a confused message showing that he no longer knew what to expect from the Islamic Republic.

n Yemen, Ansar Allah, convinced of the Iranian turnaround, has taken steps to protect its leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, from the fate of Hassan Nasrallah.

In Turkey, as usual, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is exploring the various options available to him, without committing himself here or there. He, who was slowly getting closer to his Syrian counterpart, has authorized arms deliveries to the jihadists of Idlib so that they can resume the fight against the Syrian Arab Republic. At the same time, he has sent emissaries to discuss with Abdullah Öcalan, the founder of the PKK imprisoned since 1999. Whatever the talks, it is unlikely that “Apo” will support NATO and Israel as his movement does today.

Iran’s U-turn and Turkey’s double game suddenly put an end to the euphoria of the BRICS summit in Kazan a month ago [4].

In Syria, President Bashar al-Assad immediately supported the Lebanese and its Hezbollah allies when they were abandoned by Iran. Historically, Lebanon is only a governorate of Syria, and from his point of view, Syria is responsible for the security of the Lebanese. He therefore both gave asylum to hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing Israeli bombings and transferred the few weapons he had to Hezbollah.

In response, the IDF destroyed all the roads and bridges providing access to Lebanon, then with NATO, they unleashed the jihadists of Idlib on Aleppo, of which they took and occupied a large part. The city was defended by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards who withdrew without fighting.

To everyone’s surprise, the jihadists in Idlib have the latest weapons, financed by Qatar, and a host of drones operated by Ukrainian operators.

THE CONSTANTS OF THE REVISIONIST ZIONISTS

A constant in the behavior of the revisionist Zionists is to destroy the material evidence of their lies. Thus, Benjamin Netanyahu had the schedules of his meeting records changed on October 7, 2023. He hoped that this would make it easier to deny that he had helped carry out the attack on his own citizens.

The Israelis know that he helped Hamas, from his appointment as Prime Minister in 2009 until October 7. He maintained that his strategy was to favor Hamas in order to fight against Yasser Arafat’s PLO. His first official decision was to cancel the extradition request for Moussa Abu Marzouk, at the time the highest leader of Hamas, who was detained in the United States. Other events have shown that his goal was not to destroy the PLO, but to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state. So in 2018, when the Palestinian Authority stopped paying civil servants in Gaza, he made a deal with Yahyah Sinwar, the Hamas military leader in Gaza who was then imprisoned in Israel. He gave money first secretly, then officially through Qatar. Over four years, he paid Hamas $2.5 billion so that it could build its tunnel network and arm itself.

Audrey Azoulay, former French Minister of Culture and current Director-General of UNESCO, delayed the meeting of the Committee for the Preservation of Historic Sites to allow the IDF to destroy Lebanese archaeological sites.

In doing so, Netanyahu and Hamas obtained the support of the Anglo-Saxon secret services, faithful to the strategy set out in 1916 by Lord Herbert Samuel, whose son Edwin was a companion of Jabotinsky: to ensure that neither the Jewish State nor the future Palestinian State could ensure their security alone.

Another constant in the behavior of the revisionist Zionists is to destroy the archaeological evidence of their imposture. Thus, still in 2009, the second decision of Netanyahu, who became Prime Minister, was to dig tunnels under the Temple Mount in order to be able to dynamite the Al-Aqsa Mosque. In recent months, he has destroyed all the archaeological remains in southern Lebanon, Crusader or Ottoman, and even tried to destroy the temples of Baalbeck, the greatest sanctuary of the Roman Empire. In doing so, he continued the destruction carried out during the Gulf War on the site of Babylon, or during the Syrian war on the remains of Aleppo and Palmyra. Everything must be done to ensure that the claim to the land, from the Nile to the Euphrates, appears legitimate.

Mob Warfare Is Only On the Rise

by Claudiu Secara

If it comes to a full-blown economic war between the BRICS countries and the West, chances are that BRICS coalition‘s odds of success are quite bleak.

For one, only Russia can actually remain unaffected for long by such an eventuality, and China only partially. A US-led embargo on China would be automatically followed by at least half the world controlled by the US. That in itself would cause a massive industrial collapse in China, and millions of people would take to the streets. Any repression by the Chinese government would be used as grounds for more sanctions in defense of the so-called human rights.

Faced with a flood of media attacks on China, the rest of the BRICS countries, Brazil, India, etc., would have to buckle and follow suit, of course to the detriment of their own economies.

In parallel there is now real potential to stir up the Muslims in Russia. The success of the takeover of Syria is monumental. The former head-choppers have changed their keffiyeh scarves for the Western attire and a Western professional military look. They present themselves as a very attractive option for the disoriented youths of Russia. Rejected by the growing Russian nationalism in Russia itself, these youths have few opportunities left in their provincial regions.

Russia is proud of its advanced military technology, and rightly so. Their achievements are truly impressive and unmatched by the West. Nevertheless, as we have just witnessed over and over again, the real confrontation is not between specific weapons on traditional battlefields but on the streets via color revolutions. Not even at the ballot box, but at the level of mobs-for-hire. The mobs are now the battering rams in the arsenal of military technologists.

The West’s narrative of “everything goes” is irresistible to the masses of uneducated and dispirited useless eaters. While the West is keeping a tighter and tighter noose around the necks of their own masses, their Woke narrative gives the alluring impression that unrestrained freedom and liberty are actually real.

The streets respond with gusto to this invitation to anarchy, while any rational presentation by rational people gets ridiculed and dismissed out of hand as unacceptable authoritarianism.

The mob is in the billions while the reasonable are few.

Marching on

Gilbert Doctorow:

“And this, lady and gentlemen, brings us to the question of the value of the Opposition movement in the USA against the country’s aggressive foreign and military policy wherein senior officials are saying publicly that the country is ready to enter a nuclear war with Russia and to prevail. Answer: close to nil.

I say this not in a spirit of despair, because I believe there will be no such war, but to point to where our salvation, such as it will be, comes from: namely from Moscow and not from Washington or from any of the valiant anti-war gatherings such as took place at The National Press Club yesterday. Further remarks from the dais made it perfectly clear that there are no grounds to expect more reasonable and predictable decision making in Washington from the incoming Trump administration.”

Comes Trump, Not Much to Expect

It does look like Trump is set up to be the next big disappointment in the US. No way Tulsi Gabbard will be vested, she will be lucky if treason charges are not brought against her for her visit with Assad, among other things.

Likewise, the demolition of Pete Hegseth is getting under way for alleged marital infidelitities. RFK Jr.’s baggage of past philandering, including the dubious circumstances of his wife’s suicide connected with documented domestic abuse, etc. all of those charges will make him unlikely to be confirmed as the Secretary of Health. Ditto for the FBI director Kash Patel.

Once the few rabble rousers are out of the picture, you have the only standing decision maker with real powers, none other than the ultimate Pharma sinister grandma, Susie Wiles. It’s gotta be all downhill from there.

Never mind his promise of removing 15 million, 20 million illegals by military force. That alone would cause an economic bomb by removing the most productive labor from the economy. It cannot be done.

Trump is in his honeymoon now in Paris and not able to see the sharpening of the knives for his backstabbing. He and Orban and Netanyahu are out on a limb. And I can start to see not much hope for Putin.

I predict that Trump will end fully discredited.

*

Meanwhile the Trump presidency is a stand-in for another intermediate period, like the so called Minsk agreement/armistice. Both parties regroup. At the same time, the West is looking for new venues to restart the next phase of its relentless offensive against Russia.

The Fall of Syria

The unstoppable jihadist offensive is reported to have occupied Aleppo and Hama and to be encircling Homs, the gateway to Damascus, while rumors are already circulating of a coup d’état against Assad led by Hussam Luka, a Syrian intelligence officer, which will force Assad to go into exile in Russia.

US constructive chaos

The Carter Doctrine inspired by Brzezinski (1980), aimed at implementing in the Near and Middle East the so-called “constructive chaos”, a concept based on the maxim attributed to the Roman emperor Julius Caesar “divide et impera”, to achieve the establishment of a field of instability and violence in the area (balkanization) and create a chaos that would spread from Lebanon, Palestine and Syria to Iraq and from Iran and Afghanistan to Pakistan and Anatolia (Asia Minor).

Thus, the former president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, (overthrown for rejecting the installation of US bases on Egyptian soil), revealed in an interview to the Egyptian daily El-Fagr the existence of an alleged plan to divide the entire Middle East region, consisting in the establishment of the aforementioned “constructive chaos” through the successive destruction of the autocratic regimes of Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Syria and Iran and reserving for Jordan the role of “new homeland of the Palestinian people”.

Surprise attack coordinated by Turkey, Israel and the U.S.

Taking advantage of Al Assad’s official visit to Moscow and the fact that Friday is a holiday in Syria, jihadist groups teleguided by the US, Turkey and Israel unleashed a lightning offensive, entering Aleppo, the second largest city in the country, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS) is the most prominent group involved in the current offensive against the Assad government. The group is led by Abu Mohammed al Julani and controls most of Idlib province, and is reportedly remote-controlled by Israel, which is interested in the formation of an Islamic Caliphate with its capital in Aleppo. Likewise, the surprise attack could involve forces of the National Liberation Front, a group backed by an Erdogan obsessed with gobbling up the Kurdish-Syrian state of Rojava.

Although the United States has disassociated itself from this new battle by asserting that it has “nothing to do with this offensive, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham”, the Pentagon’s initial objective would appear to be to open a new front against Russia which would force it to distract air forces from Ukraine and thus slow down its counteroffensive in Kursk and the Donbas.

A coup against Assad?

The unstoppable jihadist offensive reportedly occupied Aleppo and Hama and is encircling Homs, the gateway to Damascus, while rumors are already circulating of a coup d’état against Assad led by Hussam Luka, a Syrian intelligence officer, which will force Assad to go into exile in Russia.

After that, we will see the design of the new map resulting from the partition of Syria into four parts. Thus we will have Syria with its capital in Damascus, a Russian protectorate which will include the naval base in the Syrian port of Tartus; the Turkish-Syrian strip of the NLF under the control of Erdogan; Syrian Kurdistan or Rojava, under the control of the USA; and the new Caliphate of Aleppo of the HDS, under the control of Israel.

For his part, Trump will sacrifice Zelenski who will be accused of corruption and forced into exile, while a peace agreement is to be signed with Russia, which will make Assad and Zelenski the first collateral victims of the Cold War 2.0.
