The Taliban are so horrible they aren’t even clamping down on funerals if they exceed 10 people!

Horror! Afghanistan has been overrun by a regime so barbarous and cruel that under its rule people are allowed to step outside without a passport, may even enter government offices, museums, and stores without said passport, and where — gasp (!) — men may walk outside without face coverings!

This is simply too barbaric to even contemplate! Why can’t the Taliban be more like us?? It’s time to enter the 21st century, fellas!

On the other hand, the Taliban do at least ban concerts, cinemas and night clubs so there is still hope they may yet join the civilized world and offer progressive governance, with more clampdowns on anything that makes life worth living, just as the West has done for the past year and a half. Fingers crossed!

Stop The Madness: The Anti-Imperialist Taliban ArenThose influential leftist activists in the Alt-Media Community who are condemning the Taliban should actually appreciate its anti-imperialist victory over America even if they still disagree with aspects of the group’s vision.

Leftist Gatekeeping Goes Against Genuine Anti-Imperialism

The Taliban’s swift takeover of Afghanistan surprised many observers, but perhaps none more than the influential left-wing voices in the Alt-Media Community who’ve since scrambled to explain this by speculating that the group is really an American proxy. According to their interpretation of events, the Taliban didn’t take over Afghanistan after defeating America, but was merely handed control of it by their supposed foes per a secret deal between them. Part of the basis for their theory is Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaeen telling the BBC from 28:07 of this interview that his movement wants to open up a new chapter of relations with the US and hopes that America will help reconstruct the war-torn country.

These well-intentioned leftist activists’ justified distrust of American imperialism has regrettably clouded their judgement. They’re unable to accept that the Taliban – which is still designated as terrorists by Russia despite Moscow pragmatically interacting with them – has transitioned into an anti-imperialist national liberation movement that successfully defeated the world’s military superpower in a more humiliating fashion than even the Vietnamese did. In their minds, any movement that previously received American support like the Taliban’s mujahideen forefathers did during the 1980s, doesn’t embrace leftist ideologies, and requests the US’ reconstruction assistance as a form of reparations is incapable of being genuine anti-imperialists.

Prior Pragmatic Cooperation With The US Doesn’t Discredit Anti-Imperialism

This is the completely wrong way to judge such movements. For starters, the mujahideen pragmatically cooperated with the US out of shared interests at the time. The Soviet-backed government was extremely unpopular across the majority of Afghan society even though it was enthusiastically supported among the country’s minority of urban dwellers. I explained the complex geostrategic dynamics at play in that conflict in a response that I recently published to respected Islamabad-based physicist and writer Mr. Pervez Hoodbhoy here which should be read by those who are interested in learning more about my interpretation of those events. In short, the mujahideen and the Americans were using one another, only for the US to later abandon its allies and then decisively turn against the movement that eventually emerged from them.

Prior cooperation with the US shouldn’t disqualify any movement, let alone on the basis of their forefathers (as the Taliban wouldn’t be established until over a decade later), since other ones that these same leftist activists rightly regard as anti-imperialists have their own history of ties with the global hegemon. Syria for instance worked very closely with the CIA’s secret rendition program throughout the 2000s yet it presumably did so in order to retain pragmatic relations with the US out of fear that failing to cooperate with it on this issue of shared anti-terrorist interests might be exploited as a pretext for pressuring it even further. It also shouldn’t be forgotten that the US earlier brokered Syrian-”Israeli” talks and that President Assad later hosted John Kerry.

Leftist Ideologies Don’t Have A Monopoly Over Anti-Imperialism

The next leftist talking point to debunk with respect to their gatekeeping of what constitutes anti-imperialist forces nowadays is that these movements must always embrace leftist ideologies in order to be considered genuine. No ideology has a monopoly over anti-imperialism nor should any ever aspire to such. Leftism is extremely unpopular in Afghan society which instead very proudly embraces its Islamist traditions. Many of these same leftists consider Islamist-inspired movements like Yemen’s Ansarullah (“Houthis”), Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) among others to be genuine anti-imperialists despite inexplicably denying this same designation to the Taliban and never accounting for these double standards.

It can’t be known for sure, but those leftist activists might be basing their double standards on the fact that the three aforementioned movements are politically allied with Iran, which they regard as the regional anti-imperialist leader because of its principled opposition to “Israel”. If that’s their criteria, though, then it should be noted that the Taliban also detests “Israel” too even though they’re not politically allied with Iran. In fact, they have a history of problems with the Islamic Republic even though they’ve since been hosted in Tehran for peace talks as recently as last month after pledging to change their former ways and behave much more pragmatically once they return to power. This fact should make those leftists reconsider their double standards.

Reconstruction-As-Reparations Doesn’t Contradict Anti-Imperialism

The last of these three primary leftist talking points to challenge is the claim that those movements that want cordial relations with the US after their wars with it finally end and hope for it to reconstruct their country as a form of reparations can’t legitimately describe themselves as anti-imperialists. Countries like Cuba, Iran, Syria, and Venezuela that these same leftist activists consider to be anti-imperialist regularly advocate for America to lift its unilateral sanctions regime against them so that they can trade with it, and there’s nothing “ideologically inconsistent” with that either since. China, which can be considered the world’s leading anti-imperialist force right now, conducts hundreds of billions of dollars worth of trade with the US every year

Furthermore, the Taliban’s reconstruction-as-reparations plan is consistent with China’s and Russia’s visions. The first-mentioned wishes that the US joined its Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) instead of trying to sabotage it while the second’s Special Presidential Representative for Afghanistan said that the US has financial and economic responsibilities to Afghanistan even after the war ends. The emerging plan that I outlined here is that the US will seek to expand its economic influence northward from Pakistan to the Central Asian Republics via the PAKAFUZ railway (which essentially functions as the northern expansion of BRI’s flagship project, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) while Russia expands its own southward to the Indian Ocean via that same route.

American Imperialism Is No Match For The Taliban’s Anti-Imperialism

Having established that the Taliban should legitimately be regarded as a genuine anti-imperialist national liberation movement that embodies the popular will of the social majority and successfully defeated the world’s military superpower, it’s now time to talk about the group’s future. The Taliban might struggle to win the trust of Afghanistan’s urban minority which is fearful that their new leaders’ strict interpretation of Islamic law will infringe on their previously Western-backed civil liberties. Some social tensions can therefore be expected, but it’s unlikely that they’ll destabilize the country all that much. On the topic of instability, the US might try to support some anti-Taliban terrorist groups like ISIS-K, but its means to do so are severely limited by its failure to establish any regional military presence in the wake of its shameful retreat from Afghanistan.

The Taliban’s seizure of American military equipment will enable it to more confidently defend itself from internal and external threats, whether naturally occurring or externally exacerbated. It can also now count on those US-trained members of the Afghan National Army (ANA) who mostly peacefully surrendered to them earlier this month after they sympathized more with the group than with their foreign-backed puppet leader. The Taliban’s agreement not to attack retreating US troops was pragmatic since it prevented unnecessary retaliatory strikes against civilians and allowed the US to save some modicum of “face” so that it can then participate in the group’s reconstruction-as-reparations plan. Leftist activists should therefore appreciate the Taliban’s anti-imperialist victory over America even if they still disagree with aspects of the group’s vision.

Yet, during this long drawn out Covid-19 simulation of Global authoritarianism we are told over and over to trust the CDC, which has gotten it wrong all along the way. The key to a healthy republic is to continually question authority. And the most important question to put before this autocratic authority is: Has the Sars-CoV-2 Virus Ever Really Been Isolated? And if so, show us the proof.

The United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta has confirmed in writing they do not have any real-life, isolated, purified, sample of the SARS-CoV-2 Virus and cannot provide any records about that virus, which allegedly causes COVID-19.

Over the last several months Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests have been made to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) asking for evidence that CDC has isolated or purified the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

On June 7, 2021, the CDC confirmed (again) in writing they do not have any records showing they have ever isolated or purified the virus that allegedly causes the disease called COVID-19.

These written requests were made by Ms. Christine Massey to CDC/ATSDR FOIA Chief Officer Mr. Robert Andoh, to locate and deliver ANY records, research and/or findings for ANY “viral” isolation and purification (by anyone, anywhere, anytime in the World) from a patient sample, via maceration, filtration and/or the use of an ultracentrifuge . . . what is called the ‘Gold Standard’ for isolating and identifying a pathological micro or nana organism.

The ‘Gold Standard’ for isolating and identifying microbes are referred to as Koch’s and Rivers Postulates which was established many years ago for isolating bacteria (Koch) or Viral (Rivers) postulates.

Statement On Virus Isolation (SOVI)

Isolation: The action of isolating; the fact or condition of being isolated or standing alone; separation from other things or persons; solitariness.

– Oxford English Dictionary

The controversy over whether the SARS-CoV-2 virus has ever been isolated or purified continues. However, using the above definition, common sense, the laws of logic and the dictates of science, any unbiased person must come to the conclusion that the SARS-CoV-2 virus has never been isolated or purified. As a result, no confirmation of the virus’ existence can be found. The logical, common sense, and scientific consequences of this fact are:

  • the structure and composition of something not shown to exist can’t be known, including the presence, structure, and function of any hypothetical spike or other proteins;
  • the genetic sequence of something that has never been found can’t be known;
  • “variants” of something that hasn’t been shown to exist can’t be known;
  • it’s impossible to demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2 causes a disease called Covid-19.

In as concise terms as possible, here’s the proper way to isolate, characterize and demonstrate a new virus. First, one takes samples (blood, sputum, secretions) from many people (e.g. 500) with symptoms which are unique and specific enough to characterize an illness. Without mixing these samples with ANY tissue or products that also contain genetic material, the virologist macerates, filters and ultracentrifuges i.e. purifies the specimen. This common virology technique, done for decades to isolate bacteriophages1 and so-called giant viruses in every virology lab, then allows the virologist to demonstrate with electron microscopy thousands of identically sized and shaped particles. These particles are the isolated and purified virus.

These identical particles are then checked for uniformity by physical and/or microscopic techniques. Once the purity is determined, the particles may be further characterized. This would include examining the structure, morphology, and chemical composition of the particles. Next, their genetic makeup is characterized by extracting the genetic material directly from the purified particles and using genetic-sequencing techniques, such as Sanger sequencing, that have also been around for decades. Then one does an analysis to confirm that these uniform particles are exogenous (outside) in origin as a virus is conceptualized to be, and not the normal breakdown products of dead and dying tissues.2 (As of May 2020, we know that virologists have no way to determine whether the particles they’re seeing are viruses or just normal break-down products of dead and dying tissues.)3

If we have come this far then we have fully isolated, characterized, and genetically sequenced an exogenous virus particle. However, we still have to show it is causally related to a disease. This is carried out by exposing a group of healthy subjects (animals are usually used) to this isolated, purified virus in the manner in which the disease is thought to be transmitted. If the animals get sick with the same disease, as confirmed by clinical and autopsy findings, one has now shown that the virus actually causes a disease. This demonstrates infectivity and transmission of an infectious agent.

None of these steps has even been attempted with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, nor have all these steps been successfully performed for any so-called pathogenic virus. Our research indicates that a single study showing these steps does not exist in the medical literature.

Instead, since 1954, virologists have taken unpurified samples from a relatively few people, often less than ten, with a similar disease. They then minimally process this sample and inoculate this unpurified sample onto tissue culture containing usually four to six other types of material — all of which contain identical genetic material as to what is called a “virus.” The tissue culture is starved and poisoned and naturally disintegrates into many types of particles, some of which contain genetic material. Against all common sense, logic, use of the English language and scientific integrity, this process is called “virus isolation.” This brew containing fragments of genetic material from many sources is then subjected to genetic analysis, which then creates in a computer-simulation process the alleged sequence of the alleged virus, a so called in silico genome. At no time is an actual virus confirmed by electron microscopy. At no time is a genome extracted and sequenced from an actual virus. This is scientific fraud.

The observation that the unpurified specimen — inoculated onto tissue culture along with toxic antibiotics, bovine fetal tissue, amniotic fluid and other tissues — destroys the kidney tissue onto which it is inoculated is given as evidence of the virus’ existence and pathogenicity. This is scientific fraud.

From now on, when anyone gives you a paper that suggests the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been isolated, please check the methods sections. If the researchers used Vero cells or any other culture method, you know that their process was not isolation. You will hear the following excuses for why actual isolation isn’t done:

  1. There were not enough virus particles found in samples from patients to analyze.
  2. Viruses are intracellular parasites; they can’t be found outside the cell in this manner.

If No. 1 is correct, and we can’t find the virus in the sputum of sick people, then on what evidence do we think the virus is dangerous or even lethal? If No. 2 is correct, then how is the virus spread from person to person? We are told it emerges from the cell to infect others. Then why isn’t it possible to find it?

Finally, questioning these virology techniques and conclusions is not some distraction or divisive issue. Shining the light on this truth is essential to stop this terrible fraud that humanity is confronting. For, as we now know, if the virus has never been isolated, sequenced or shown to cause illness, if the virus is imaginary, then why are we wearing masks, social distancing and putting the whole world into prison?

Finally, if pathogenic viruses don’t exist, then what is going into those injectable devices erroneously called “vaccines,” and what is their purpose? This scientific question is the most urgent and relevant one of our time.

Every now and again, some crappy little country has to pick up the United States and throw it against the wall. It’s the only way Americans will learn to stay at home and attend to their swampy garden. Is this the moment they learn? We shall see; but American propaganda and self-delusion is strong.

Its allies, relying on Washington’s word, information and competence have followed it into another disaster that they will have to pay for because they don’t have two oceans between it and catastrophe. Is this the moment they learn? We shall see; but European propaganda and self-delusion is strong.

I don’t blame Biden much and he did have the courage to get out rather than kicking it down the road for his successor (although he did break the agreement Trump had made). In his much-mocked speech last month he was only repeating what rooms full of be-medalled and be-starred people told him. Is this the moment he learns? We shall see; but American propaganda and self-delusion is strong.

NATO’s nation-building, security-building, defence institution building piffle is exposed as delusory nonsense. Is this the moment they learn? We shall see; but NATO propaganda and self-delusion is strong.

A stunning and comprehensive defeat, worse than Vietnam. The “unipolar moment” ends in chaos and humiliation at Kabul airport: the hyperpower can’t even conduct a retreat.

The U.S. Has Suffered a Disastrous Defeat

The Afghanistan defeat will be more disastrous than we can now imagine.

State Department spokesman Ned Price gave a press conference where he informed the Taliban about U.S. expectations. He announced that “a future Afghan government that upholds the basic rights of its people, that doesn’t harbor terrorists, and that protects the basic rights of its people, including the basic fundamental rights of half of its population, its women and girls, that is a government that we would be able to work with.”

Price did not have a clue about how inane this sounded. The country is in chaos, the U.S. has suffered a major defeat, and he is listing demands. There are thousands of Americans trapped in Afghanistan right now. Our response is to anger and insult the people who hold their lives in their hands.

The president is portraying the withdrawal as a partial success: “[o]ur mission to degrade the terrorist threat of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and kill Osama bin Laden was a success.” He claimed, “I am president of the United States of America, and the buck stops with me,” and then proceeded to blame everyone from Donald Trump to the Afghan military for the defeat. This was a large enough mistake that even Jake Tapper took note of it: “[t]he president said that the buck stopped with him but, in fact, this speech was full of fingers pointing and blame.” If the president loses the support of the Deep State media, he is finished.

Ned Price claimed, “We are confident, but more importantly, the military and our Intelligence Community leaders have spoken, and even testified to the fact that we will have capabilities … to detect and to disrupt any terrorist plotting.” Ned is probably referring to the inner circle of the State Department when he claims, “We are confident.” Our NATO allies do not seem to share Ned’s confidence in our Intelligence Community.

Biden stated that we are “moving quickly to execute the plans we had put in place to respond to every contingency, including the rapid collapse we’re seeing now.” He claims that the reason why people were not evacuated sooner was “some of the Afghans did not want to leave earlier, still hopeful for their country.” He also wanted to “avoid triggering a crisis of confidence.” The president, claims he, “will not repeat the mistakes we’ve made in the past.”

Yet Biden has no clue about what will transpire in this “fluid situation.” He has already demonstrated a lack of judgment. He has been criticized for being mentally challenged. He accidentally revealed the identities of CIA agents during a video conference. His gaffes are not new. In 2016, he outed the military aide who carried the nuclear football.

The Taliban is not interested in what the U.S. or the international community thinks. Threats of boycotts and withholding foreign aid will not convince them to join the 21st century. Their policies about women will not change, much less their views of homosexuality. Ned claims, “We are operating on multiple fronts and around the clock to protect our people, those who have worked side by side with the United States over the years.” This must sound very reassuring to people who have worked for the U.S. and find themselves far from the Kabul airport.

The Taliban has not given up on its beheading technique. An Afghan translator who worked for U.S. was beheaded. It is unlikely that this is an isolated case. Twenty-two Afghan commandos were executed by the Taliban when they attempted to surrender. A Twitter message reads, “An Afghani interpreter I have come to know well over the years was hung in the streets last night. They melted his DoD ID into his chest. Cut off his arms. And killed his family.”

Crash! France’s Health Pass System Fails

France has gone authoritarian in inept fashion, as its bid to control the movement of its citizens failed TWICE in a week when the platform that generates government QR codes was overwhelmed. The result, predictably, was chaos.

France and other budding authoritarian countries with ambitions to lord over their citizens’ movements by introducing health passes have eyes that are bigger than their stomachs. They have proven repeatedly that they’re far too incompetent to practice proper authoritarianism. Events last week are a case in point.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced in the dead of summer that suddenly all French citizens would require a health pass to access all venues in daily life with a capacity of 50 or more people – meaning a negative Covid-19 nose swab test, the full vaccination protocol, or a positive Covid test no more than six months old (after which you’re expected to ignore your acquired immunity and succumb to the jab).

Suddenly, people camping in the middle of summer found themselves unable to use the outdoor pool at their vacation destination and unable to take high-speed trains back home without the health pass. And this pass takes only one form – that of a QR code generated by a government-run platform.

When a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or pharmacist, enters your test or jab information into the system – called SIDEP (which stands for ‘Population Screening Information System’, like something out of a bad sci-fi movie) – you receive a link via text message and/or email that you click to download the QR code to a government-issued smartphone app called ‘TousAntiCovid’ (or ‘All Anti-Covid’). This can then be scanned by security agents at the entrance to swimming pools, gyms, shopping malls, restaurants, hospitals, libraries, movie theaters, or trains.

This useless system of apartheid, in practice, allows negative tested unjabbed to mingle freely with non-tested but jabbed potential Covid carriers. It also, in practice, is completely unreliable in the image of its creators.

On August 9, the same day that the system was expanded beyond just ‘leisure venues’ like gyms and pools, Macron’s start-up nation project crashed for several hours, leaving people locked out of daily life.

Apparently, the government wasn’t prepared for the number of people who all needed to request a QR code at the same time. But then, just four days later, on the Friday of the August holiday weekend, as people were scrambling for tests and QR codes to access their travel, hotels, and other activities, the system crashed yet again from 3:30pm to at least midnight, again apparently due to usage volume.

Pharmacists took to social media to complain in real time. “The government is as usual not up to the task… As pharmacists, we test and vaccinate in our dispensary without appointment from Monday morning to Saturday evening… The SIDEP site crashes regularly,” said one.

Another tweeted directly at Macron: “@EmmanuelMacron THE SIDEP PLATFORM THAT DOESN’T WORK; HOW DO I REPORT PEOPLE?”

Yet another tried addressing Health Minister Olivier Veran, saying that World of Warcraft’s gaming platform was more reliable than the government’s system: “Hello @olivierveran. Is it normal to have less connection problems on @Warcraft_FR than on the SiDep? What do I do with the vaccinations and the tests?”

One citizen tweeted the Olympique Marseille football club to ask how they were supposed to get into the match against Bordeaux over the weekend without the coveted QR code: “A question @OM_Officiel: given that the Sidep site does not work to send the QR Codes of negative antigenic tests, how do we do it?”

Several others captured the frustration of living in our new dystopia: “SIDEP YOU’RE DEAD HOW DO I GO TO THE RESTAURANT?”

It’s one thing to have designs on creating a massive data dragnet under sanitary pretext – which some Western countries appear to now be doing in order to compete with China’s data collection system of ‘social credit’, which uses people’s private information to control them by dictating which venues and activities they’re permitted to access. But it’s another to not even have the discipline or the competence to be authoritarian.

About the only thing worse than an authoritarian government is an inept authoritarian government. The result is chaos, as we’re discovering.

And by the way, who actually manages the health data of French citizens? Where does it go? It’s a question worth asking given that our governments are so insecure that they see hackers lurking everywhere, ready to pounce on their vulnerability and capitalize on their incompetence. Why should any of us trust any of our health information to governments that are less able to protect our private data than we are ourselves?

Up until now, French health data in the pandemic era has been entrusted to Microsoft, with ‘plans’ to migrate to a French provider still in the works.

But the damage may already be done.

Government health data collection – for QR code purposes or otherwise – is a question of sovereignty, both personal and national. And France’s data regulatory body – the CNIL (or the “National Commission for Informatics and Freedoms”) – has already sounded the alarm on the country’s outsourcing of Covid related health data to American service providers, making it accessible to the US government.

Last year, the commission reminded the French government of “the concerns raised by the European Data Protection Board concerning access by United States authorities to data transferred to the United States, and particularly the collection and access to personal data for national security purposes under Section 702 of the US FISA Act.”

Why should any of us trust these people with anything, let alone our private information or our health? Particularly when they couldn’t run a drunk fest in a vat of ale.

Businesses Are Refusing To Enforce France’s Vaccine Passport

Anecdotal evidence detailed by former Google software engineer Mike Hearn strongly suggests that most restaurants, cafes and other businesses in France are not enforcing the country’s controversial vaccine passport system.

As we highlighted last week, on the first day the new program was in place, police were visibly patrolling bars and cafes demanding customers show proof they’ve had the jab.

However, this seems to have largely been a bluff as just days later, businesses and venues have become very lax at checking people’s papers despite the threat of large fines.

“I decided to do a simple experiment to find out: always present an expired test even though I had a valid negative one, and see what happens,” writes Hearn.

“Over a four day stay I was required to show a valid pass exactly zero times; that includes at the airports in both directions. Compliance is absolutely min viable and often lower.”

“At small businesses enforcement was non-existent: sometimes the pass requirement was ignored entirely, other times we were asked “do you have a pass” and our answer wasn’t checked.

One restaurant had come up with a clever way to detect police stings without requiring customers to actually present a pass. As expected, enforcement was stricter by larger firms, however even there we saw the following:

– Test certificates being checked once and then swapped for a token that doesn’t expire.
– Expired tests being accepted.
– People accepting paper test certificates without scanning them.
– Scanning tests and then not looking at the screen to see the results.
– Accepting QR codes that failed to scan.”

Hearn also reveals how mask mandates in theme parks and other venues are also not being followed, despite signs everywhere ordering people to cover their faces, while social distancing is also a “forgotten memory.”

Images showing empty cafes and bars on the first day the system was introduced may have spooked venues into taking a hands off approach.

In passing the law but failing to ensure that it is enforced, France is following the same model as Israel, where the point of introducing the system wasn’t really to enforce it, but merely as a means of bullying young people into getting the vaccine.

As we highlighted last week, despite the odious and draconian nature of the vaccine passport system, President Macron asserted that it was actually introduced to protect people’s “freedom,” which is like saying putting you in prison is for your own safety.

Microbiome Treatment Can Reverse Age-Related Brain Deterioration

The gut microbiota is increasingly recognized as an important regulator of host immunity and brain health. The aging process yields dramatic alterations in the microbiota, which is linked to poorer health and frailty in elderly populations. However, there is limited evidence for a mechanistic role of the gut microbiota in brain health and neuroimmunity during aging processes. Therefore, we conducted fecal microbiota transplantation from either young (3–4 months) or old (19–20 months) donor mice into aged recipient mice (19–20 months). Transplant of a microbiota from young donors reversed aging-associated differences in peripheral and brain immunity, as well as the hippocampal metabolome and transcriptome of aging recipient mice. Finally, the young donor-derived microbiota attenuated selective age-associated impairments in cognitive behavior when transplanted into an aged host. Our results reveal that the microbiome may be a suitable therapeutic target to promote healthy aging.

A staggering 100 trillion microorganisms live in the human gut – both good and bad. The immune system is impacted by the balance. The research team from Ireland showed that lab rodents experienced increased memory and cognitive function by introducing specific species.

Aging-associated changes in the immune system were reversed with fecal transplants from younger mice, including quicker deciphering of maze patterns and better memory afterward.

They were also less prone to anxiety, another common symptom of dementia. Scans later showed their brains had been rejuvenated, containing metabolites and patterns of gene regulation resembling those of adolescents.

“It should be said we are not advocating fecal transplants for people who want to rejuvenate their brain. Instead, these studies point towards a future where there will be a focus on microbiota-targeted dietary or bacterial-based interventions. They will promote optimum gut health and immunity in order to keep the brain young and healthy,” explains Cryan.

The study suggests such therapies could combat cognitive decline. It adds to evidence that probiotics sold in supermarkets as diet supplements boost concentration, decision-making, and understanding.

“Microorganisms that live on and in the human body have an impact on health and vary with age. Friendly bacteria have beneficial effects on the metabolic and immune systems. They can be gradually replaced with bacteria that drive chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and disease,” notes Cryan.

“Much work is needed to translate the findings for clinical use in humans. We know that microorganisms in the gut shape local immunity, but can also affect brain aging and increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. Now, there is a growing appreciation of the importance of the microbes in the gut on all aspects of physiology and medicine.”

Previous research has found that a daily dose of probiotics over 12 weeks can produce significant improvement in elderly patients.

“This research further demonstrates the importance of the gut microbiome in many aspects of health – and particularly across the brain/gut axis where brain functioning can be positively influenced. The study opens up possibilities in the future to modulate gut microbiota as a therapeutic target to influence brain health,” concludes Professor Paul Ross, director of APC Microbiome Ireland at the university.

Centenarians have unique gut bacteria that enables them to live to a ripe old age, according to new research. Scientists in Japan say this unique gut makeup fuels bile acids that protect against disease.

The discovery could lead to yogurts and other probiotic foods that increase longevity and unlock the secret key to living past 100 years.

Like many people around the world, as of mid-2021, I have had to come to terms with the sordid likelihood that the only way I will ever see my family again is online.

My country, Canada, has chosen to implement increasingly draconian and frankly unscientific policies in the name of ‘protecting’ people. What Canadian authorities are really doing is ensuring an uptake of the experimental jabs. Don’t want to take them? No worries, but you’re not welcome in Canada.

Recently, my RT colleague, Rachel Marsden, described her anguish at being forced to turn away from her country and family because Canada has decided it is the ‘science police’ and has decided which ‘science’ matters.

She wrote, “I committed the apparent violation of trying to re-enter my own country with proof of naturally acquired Covid-19 antibodies made by my own immune system post-recovery rather than those generated by the manmade Covid-19 vaccine about which much is still to be learned.” She noted that even her doctor had advised her against vaccination. But, for Canada, that is apparently irrelevant.

In an email, she explained that Canadian customs demand a positive PCR test taken more than two weeks ago and less than three months ago as proof of having had Covid, thus having immunity.

In her case, she didn’t have that positive PCR test because she didn’t notice symptoms at the time.

“Instead, my immunity was confirmed post-recovery via two laboratory tests for Covid antibodies taken nearly 5 months apart and proving that my Covid antibody levels are significant and also haven’t budged at all between the two tests. My doctor certified this result last month in a note with the heading, ‘Covid immunity certificate’.”

Marsden was ordered to comply with a three-day stay at one of Canada’s Covid internment hotels, costing roughly Can$2,000, plus two weeks’ quarantine. The other two options were to pay a roughly $6,000 fine if she simply walked out of the airport, or to book a flight back out of Canada – the cheapest option.

The anti-science aspect of Canada’s policies in refusing her natural immunity indicates that Canada is more interested in pushing vaccinations than public health.

And, as she wrote, “The Canadian government, by behaving in this manner, is routinely criminalizing those with Covid antibodies that are not derived from a manufactured experimental vaccine.”

Why I might never be able to return to Canada

When all of this started early last year, I had just left Canada for what I thought would be a maximum two-month absence. That has turned into over a year and a half. Perhaps at Christmas I could have tried to return for a visit. But with Ontario (winner of the longest lockdown) so unpredictable, I was dissuaded by the thought of getting stuck there.

Six months prior, I had given up my apartment and had my belongings put into storage. Being stuck in Ontario would have meant a whole slew of logistical problems. So, I opted to wait, hoping the lockdowns and quarantines would be lifted for a future visit.

That was my decision and I’ll have to live with it, and the realization that maybe I could have visited and seen my mother once more, but now I don’t see how that is going to be possible, the way Canada is heading.

Recently, travellers coming to Canada have been required, by law, to be vaccinated, which I have no intention of doing. My immune system is excellent. I spent half of last year walking around Damascus, including in extremely crowded marketplaces where there was no physical distancing and few masks. I did not get sick, and as such I am completely confident my own body could fight off Covid.

On the other hand, let’s assume I was exposed to Covid but did not suffer symptoms. According to Canada’s logic, and Rachel’s experience, my natural immunity would be void, because I did not obsessively get PCR tests every week in case I was positive (never mind that the test can give false positives).

Were I to be vaccinated, it would be with Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine. And although Sputnik V has been approved for use in 69 states and territories, Canada does not accept it, instead pushing Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson. I have no intention of taking any of those anytime soon, for good reason. My choice is not about being anti-vaccines, it is about being properly informed on the potentially serious risks the rushed experimental jabs being pushed on Canadians could pose.

Even the CBC reported on Canadians who are concerned about safety and side effects of vaccines, particularly the long term effects of the mRNA Covid shots, as they haven’t been put through years-long clinical trials. Pfizer, for example, hasn’t even been fully okayed by the US Food and Drug Administration. A point not emphasized enough, but which CBC inadvertently shed light on with its inclusion of a particular photo in its article, is the exemption vaccine makers have from liability.

We also learned in early August, according to the CDC, “Covid-19 vaccines no longer prevent transmission.” In Iceland, four out of five in intensive care for Covid-19 are fully injected. And around the world, there are examples of adverse reactions, injuries, and deaths post-jab that could at the very least give pause to many people, were these reactions covered in media in the same hysterical way everything else to do with Covid has been.

As reported (via data released by the CDC), “411,931 reports of adverse events from all age groups following COVID vaccines, including 6,985 deaths and 34,065 serious injuries between Dec. 14, 2020 and June 25, 2021.” This doesn’t mean that everyone who gets the jab will experience side-effects, but some will, and wishing to avoid that risk is a choice I should be free to make.

Furthermore, we have incessantly been told to “trust the science,” but one doesn’t need to be an ‘anti-vaxxer’ to see the way government scientists have been elevated to the status of secular bishops, and those who disagree with them are spurned like heretics, and be a tad suspicious that their convictions might not be as indisputable as they claim. There are numerous experts speaking out against the experimental jabs, including epidemiologists, immunologists, virologists, vaccine researchers, and even the former vice president of Pfizer.

Those are enough reasons and concerns for me to make the decision to not take the jabs but, in a sane world, my refusal to take a vaccine for a disease with a 99% survival rate should not bar me from the country in which I was born and raised. None of this is to say that anyone who wants to take the vaccine shouldn’t do so, but whatever happened to “my body, my choice?”
