Insanity as State Policy

It is absolutely mind-boggling what such high-level Western puppets are made to believe. Looking at each other through the glass wall at the other’s perceived reality, it is obvious that one side is in a medically certified state of lunacy. Are we the lunatics, seeing the results of the battleground in Ukraine, or what? The Russian economy is in ruin?! It is now the largest economy in Europe, and just about to overtake Japan as the 4th largest economy in the world.

Can one even have a serious argument over what this man is saying from the perspective of Western insanity?

From the interview in Newsweek:

Words from Permanent Secretary at the Estonian Ministry of Defence Kusti Salm, in an interview with Newsweek, regarding the conflict in Ukraine:

Russia needs to walk away with the understanding that they lost, that they will lose the next war…Economically, they are ruined; we outlasted them; we kept our industry on a better footing; we have the technological advantage; we have better training, better morale; that they don’t stand a chance…

They need to walk away with the understanding that international law and the rule-based world functions, and that you cannot bend it as you wish…

This is the only way to draw a line there, so that this wouldn’t happen again. If one of those elements is not fulfilled, then in a few years, we will face another crisis, and not only from Russia, because everyone is learning…

We think that it’s three years before they will have the opportunity [to restore full military capabilities to pre-SMO levels]. Others go for five years; we have also heard seven or eight years. But the consensus is that they will regenerate, and they will come back. There is no one in intelligence, no one in defence circles who would dispute that…

For Europe, for NATO, it’s very simple – if Ukraine fails, NATO will be next…

Deterring needs a lot more effort, a lot more investment, a lot more shifts in public opinion. It’s actually a very high return on investment to keep on supporting Ukraine…120 billion [Euros] a year would be something that would do the trick – 0.25% of GDP.

It’s not a lot, it’s not a strategic topic, it’s not something that we cannot afford…With that money, you also ramp up your own industry [and] most of the money will remain in your own economies. It would be a stimulus package at a time of an incoming recession…Europe hasn’t found a way to package this…

Take what you will from Salm’s interview…

Hersh: Biden Made Decision to Destroy Nord Stream 2 ‘A Few Weeks Before’ Ukraine Operation Began

Since veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh revealed in February that the US blew up the Nord Stream 2 pipeline the previous September, Western media has rushed to create an alternate narrative involving Ukrainian operatives possibly working at Kiev’s direction, and to discredit Hersh’s revelations.

The White House had already made the decision to destroy the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline by early 2022, several weeks before the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Seymour Hersh has reported in his latest expose story.

According to his report, based on comments from an American official “who is knowledgeable about the political use of energy,” by the time US President Joe Biden hosted German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the White House on February 7, 2022, he had already given the order to a CIA-led team in Norway to find a way to destroy the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, a liquified natural gas line from Russia to Germany that was slated to soon open.

That was, he noted, “a few weeks before” Ukraine intensified its attacks on the Donbass people’s republics, forcing Moscow’s hand in recognizing the independence of the breakaway states from Kiev and sending its forces into the Donbass to defend them – events that set in motion the launching of Russia’s special operation to neutralize and de-Nazify the country several days later.

After Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics on February 22, 2022, Scholz announced the termination of the Nord Stream 2 project – something he had been under pressure from Washington as well as some other European Union leaders, such as Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, to do for years.

The month prior, Republicans in the US Congress attempted to pass a billthat would have sanctioned the Russian side of the pipeline project regardless of whether or not Russia sent troops into Ukraine, and Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, had repeatedly deferred implementation of other sanctions against the pipeline in order to keep Berlin in their good graces.

According to Hersh’s report, the CIA-led team had planted the explosives on three of the four Nord Stream 2 pipes along the seafloor of the North Sea by May of 2022, but Biden delayed their detonation for months without explanation until finally giving the order in late September of that year. The bombs were detonated using a “low frequency sonar device,” he reported.

The veteran investigative journalist suggested the timing was chosen, coming at the start of autumn, in order to ensure Berlin didn’t get cold feet about the operation.

Successive German governments had been enthusiastically in support of the pipeline, which would have brought plentiful and cheap gas into Western Europe, and downplayed Washington’s suggestion that it would give Moscow leverage over European affairs.

Earlier this week, Germany’s Sefe and Norway’s Equinor, their state-owned gas firms, struck a massive $55 billion deal that would see Norway supply one-third of German gas needs for the next 10 years – essentially the same volume that Nord Stream 2 would have brought.

The US official with whom Hersh spoke quipped that the deal was “an amazing stroke of good luck for Scholz, just when his base was facing another gas-free winter.”

“Magically,” the source added, “the deal coincides with Russia’s earlier closure of gas and oil fields that – except for the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines – would have been the source of gas for the two pipelines.”

It’s unclear to what exactly the official was referring; possibly the May 2022 closure of western traffic in the Yamal-Europe pipeline, which runs from the northwestern Siberian Yamal Peninsula westward into Europe via Poland.

Patrushev: US’ Strategy – Keep Russia out and Europe Down

Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev:

✔️ Russia has long been trying to build itself into international technological chains, creating conditions for mutually beneficial economic cooperation, and undertaking obligations to allow foreign suppliers access to its market. The U.S., using the Ukrainian crisis, achieved the rupture of Europe’s economic relations with Russia and the elimination of economic competitors. They are solving their own economic problems at the expense of other countries.

✔️ To prevent Europe from getting gas from Russia, they blew up the Nord Streams. They have already imposed several packages of illegitimate sanctions against our country. They deliberately restricted our access to critical and advanced technologies. First of all, the electronic component base, high-tech machine building, aircraft construction, shipbuilding, equipment and technologies for the fuel and energy complex are under attack.

✔️ Representatives of NATO countries are already saying that Russia has prevented them from approaching Russia’s borders, and Ukrainians are a tool for the West to contain Russia. Due to such actions, the credit of trust in the US and the countries of the collective West is exhausted.

✔️ It is no coincidence that the US president said that military aid to Ukraine and Israel is a wise investment that will benefit American security for generations to come. The U.S. has provoked and continues to fuel the situation in the Middle East through its policies. In the same way, they are acting in Ukraine, where they provoked a coup d’état, indulged in the imposition of neo-Nazi ideology, turned Ukraine into a testing ground for military and biological experiments, turned a blind eye to the killing of civilians in Donbas and prepared for military action against our country. Under these conditions, Russia stood up to protect the population of Donbas and did not allow aggressive plans to be carried out.

✔️ It is precisely Washington’s policy that has provoked the current catastrophic aggravation of the situation in the Middle East and has already led to huge civilian casualties. Instead of promoting the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the U.S. on the contrary contributes to its escalation by supplying arms and sending aircraft carriers to the region. In doing so, they are pursuing the goals of maintaining global dominance and ensuring their security.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius: Prepare for a Big War in Europe

“The army and society must become ready for war”

This is how NATO will end and Europe will pass under Russian sphere of control. Indeed, at the end of the day, we’ll have a new entity, that is Euroslavia: from Vladivostok to Lisbon.

Maria Zakharova via Telegram:
EUobserver: “Lithuania wants to ban the export of nails, buttons, sewing needles, and knitting needles to Russia. Such proposals for the 12th package of EU sanctions are part of Vilnius’ plans to “destroy Russian industrial capacity.”

A year ago I was in a meeting with Chinese business representatives in Moscow. We were having a conversation, and suddenly a message popped up on the phone with the news that the United States had adopted yet another anti-Russian sanctions measures banning the supply of elevators and related equipment to Russia. According to the authors of this decision, this measure should “paralyze the construction industry in Russia.” When I read this news to my Chinese colleagues, they started laughing. They literally groaned and burst into laughter. After the sanction hara-kiri of the Japanese automobile industry on the Russian market, the most incredible dream of Chinese manufacturers came true, who in six months reconfirmed the truth that “nature abhors a vacuum”.

It’s scary to imagine what kind of laughter will begin among Chinese manufacturers of knitting needles and buttons if they learn about Lithuania’s plans to “destroy Russian industrial capacities.”

What will Lithuania do with all its supplies if such a decision is implemented? I don’t know, maybe they can make a sign “to the detriment of Russia” on their highway out of buttons, nails, knitting needles, and needles».

The Great North Coalition?

by Sergey Markov

Vladislav Surkov, a brilliant political strategist and original philosopher and former leading statesman of Russia, has published a new article. There he predicted the formation of the Great North – a coalition of the USA, Europe and Russia. The logic there is that once the Global South has been formed, a relatively unified North should also be formed.

The Great North as a coalition of three superpowers, the USA and the EU and Russia. Surkov states that this coalition could have been created in the early 00s, when Putin proposed to the US and EU that Russia join NATO.

But the West did not dare then, it was afraid. And now, in fact, there is a war between those countries that could be in a strong alliance and rapidly develop on the basis of this alliance.
But this union of the Great North can be created if Russia wins the North and establishes itself as a great power.

From these thoughts of Surkov we will draw a paradoxical conclusion.
It turns out that strategically the United States and the EU are interested in their defeat from Russia in Ukraine. Only the stupidity of Western elites prevents them from realizing their strategic benefit.

But some Western elites still understand that the EU and the United States need a speedy end to the war in Ukraine on Russia’s terms for their development.

Therefore, the conflict within Western elites regarding the Ukrainian crisis is a conflict between those who think tactically and short-sightedly – they quarrel with Russia, and those who think strategically and smartly – they are for ending the conflict in Ukraine and for a compromise with Russia.

EU Support for Ukraine will Wane – Czech President

Ukraine should aim to regain as much territory as it can from Russia before the end of the year as it may not have a second chance at a counteroffensive, Czech President Petr Pavel has warned. He cited general “war fatigue” and the upcoming presidential elections stateside as potential reasons why Kiev’s backers may have less of an appetite for a continuation of hostilities.

In an interview with Britain’s Sky News TV channel broadcast on Tuesday, Pavel acknowledged that while “in an ideal world” he would want to see Ukraine regain control of all its territories within its 1991 borders, this may not be realistic.

He added that the situation will likely look “slightly different,” with Kiev ready to start talks with Moscow “once they expire all the possibilities of advancing.”

The official went on to predict that Russian President Vladimir Putin would probably arrive at the same conclusion at some point, with neither Ukraine nor Russia being interested in a frozen conflict.

“So, what Ukraine is now aiming for is to get control of as much territory as possible by the end of this year, because then we’ll have an entirely different situation,” the Czech president explained.

According to the official, who previously served as a top NATO military commander, Kiev will have a hard time mustering forces for a second counteroffensive.

The Financial Times reported last month that Western officials had been unimpressed by Kiev’s battlefield performance. The paper’s sources claimed that long-term Western support for Ukraine would be contingent on the eventual outcome of the counteroffensive.

Russia’s Defense Ministry, in turn, has reported that its forces have so far successfully repelled the push, which began in early June.

France Opposes Setting Up a Liaison Office in Japan

French President Emmanuel Macron has informed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg of his opposition to plans to set up a liaison office in Japan.

An official at France’s presidential office told reporters on Friday that the “NA” of NATO stands for “North Atlantic”.

The official noted that the articles of the alliance specify the geographical scope, which is the North Atlantic.

The official said France is not in favor of the idea for reasons of principle, and that Macron clearly expressed his opposition to Stoltenberg.

The official also said – “Regarding the office, the Japanese authorities have told us themselves that they are not very attached to it.”

In an interview with a US TV station in May, Stoltenberg had revealed that NATO had been negotiating the setting up of a liaison office with the Japanese government.

Ukrainians themselves about the Fake War

Is this the fake war discussed here: The Fake War?

Former adviser to Zelensky Oleksii Arestovich – said that the counteroffensive failed through the fault of the United States and NATO:

You can ask the Americans a question: “Why did you prepare this counteroffensive in such a way and gave so many weapons? Maybe you drove us into negotiations from the very beginning? Imagine if the president or somebody comes out and says it publicly.

There are a lot of questions for our beloved allies. So many! About gray schemes, about the gray fleet of 300 tankers, which both carried oil and still carry it.About American chips, that go to Russia and parts  go into “calibers” and “Kinzhals”and Russia increased production[of missiles]. Why, if F-16s are in principle given and the pilots began to train, then only in October-November, or, as they say, maybe in 2024, and not give them in May before the counteroffensive, which is decisive? Even if you want to negotiate, then to create negotiations from a position of strength. Why should our infantry pay for this in blood? Why should our citizens pay with blood? Are we defending the collective West here?

50 billion euros of aid to us was blocked. They are killing us with this! These idiots, NATO and Europeans, cannot all together find a short cut for one Orban? Knock him over the head and make him vote normally? What’s going on, comrades?

Sergey Karaganov: By Using its Nuclear Weapons, Russia Could Save Humanity from a Global Catastrophe – II

via RT

If things continue as they are, Moscow will have no choice but to use the ultimate weapon

By Professor Sergey Karaganov, honorary chairman of Russia’s Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, and academic supervisor at the School of International Economics and Foreign Affairs Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow

This month, there has been an active debate in Russia about the possibility of Moscow preemptively using nuclear weapons. Which would be at variance with the established doctrine. It began after the publication of an article by Professor Sergey Karaganov, which prompted a wide response from the domestic expert community.

While Karaganov has been advocating relaxing the rules, others have different opinions: for example, Fyodor Lukyanov thinks the West cannot be ‘sobered up’ by using the bomb, and Ilya Fabrichnikov believes Russia should not ‘take NATO’s bait’ and unleash the ultimate weapon.

This is Karaganov’s follow up response to his critics.

During over seventy years of mutual deterrence, atomic weapons have saved the world. People just took this for granted. However, now we see that things have changed and the unthinkable is happening: the West is responsible for a major war in the underbelly of a major nuclear power.

The official history of the creation of these weapons is known, but in my opinion there is also a higher power at play. It is as if the Lord God saw that a large part of humanity had gone mad, having started two world wars in a generation, and gave us these nuclear weapons, which are weapons of the apocalypse. He wanted them to be, to be in the front of our minds, at all times, and to scare us.

But now people have lost their fear.

Over the last few decades in the United States, Western Europe and even partly in Russia, what I call “strategic parasitism” has spread: the belief that there can never be a major war and that there will never be a major war. People are accustomed to peace, and it is on this basis that modern Western ideology has grown. In addition, there is now an unprecedented amount of propaganda around, to an extent unprecedented even during the Cold War.

People are simply being fed lies, and they are afraid to say what they really think. As a result of more than 70 years of peace, the public’s sense of self-preservation has become dysfunctional, and it is further stifled by the extraordinarily virulent agitprop, part of which claims that Russia would never be able to attack Western Europe.

Official Western propaganda pumps the idea that the West can do anything it likes and Moscow will just put up with it. This has now become very clear and vivid.

Official Western propaganda pumps the idea that the West can do anything it likes and Moscow will just put up with it. This has now become very clear and vivid.

At the same time, having already thrown the Ukrainian people into the furnace, the Americans are pushing the Western Europeans into the same place, destroying the status they have held for five centuries. This policy also solves another problem – it destroys the Old World as a strategic player and potential competitor. In turn, the captured West European elites are driving their countries and peoples into the ground.

We would like to believe that our adversaries will come to their senses. Because if they don’t, Russia’s political-military leadership will be faced with a terrible moral choice and the need to make a hard decision. But I believe that our president must demonstrate his willingness to use nuclear weapons at some point.

But the question is who could and should be the target of such an attack. The Americans, as we all know, have been shamelessly lying when they say that we are preparing to drop an atomic bomb on Ukraine. This is monstrous nonsense, absolutely malicious, because of course the Ukrainians are a miserable, deluded people who are being driven to slaughter. But they are still our people, and we are not going to hit them.

If there are to be nuclear strikes, they should be aimed at countries in Western Europe that have been most supportive of the mercenary regime in Kiev.

Fortunately, we have begun to take steps up the ladder of nuclear deterrence. But we need to move faster and more decisively, even though their use would be, of course, a monstrous step and should be avoided if possible. But as the vector of development of the West, its elites and society – and its movement towards anti-human and post-human values show – all this clearly indicates an objective drift to an eventual thermonuclear war. We have to interrupt this process and save the world – avoiding, of course, super-violent actions if possible.

We have time, but we must realize that it is rather short. We have to use these few years to solve the problem of the West, to make it step back and mind its own business, because now, to distract from its own internal issues, it is trying to start wars all over the world.

Launching the current military operation was an important – and certainly correct – step, although in my view it should have been taken earlier. There are a number of other moves that can be made. In particular, it is worth making it clear to everyone in the West that any attack on Belarus will be equated to a blow to Russia and will have similar consequences.

Possible Russian measures could also include missile redeployments, tests of our strategic missiles at close range, as well as psychological actions and even the severing of diplomatic relations with those countries that play the most active Russophobic roles. Also possible is a measure such as warning all Russian speakers, all citizens of the former Soviet Union, and all people of goodwill to leave places that are potential targets of a nuclear strike. This too could be a potentially powerful tool of deterrence. And all these people do not have to go to Russia: let them go to other states that do not have military facilities and do not help the Kiev regime and do not supply it with weapons and money – there are many such countries. People should return to Russia not out of fear, but out of their own free will.

When discussing a hypothetical atomic attack on Western Europe, the question arises: how would the US answer? Virtually all experts agree that under no circumstances would the Americans respond to a nuclear attack on their allies with a nuclear attack on our territory. Incidentally, even Biden has said so openly.

Russian military experts, however, believe that a massive conventional retaliatory strike could follow. It could be pointed out that this would be followed by even more massive nuclear strikes. And they would finish off Western Europe as a geopolitical entity. Which, of course, would be undesirable because, after all, we are to some extent Europeans and, to use Dostoyevsky’s words, the old European stones are not alien to us.

When discussing such scenarios, the subject of China and its position inevitably comes up. Our strategic goals are the same, but our operational goals differ, of course. And if I were Chinese, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to end the conflict in Ukraine, because it diverts US and Western attention and military power away from them and gives Beijing an opportunity to accumulate strength.

It’s a perfectly normal, I would say respectful, position. And of course I do not want nuclear weapons to be used. First of all, for moral and ethical reasons: I think the Chinese and I agree on that.

And secondly, because the Chinese still have a small nuclear capability, it is undesirable for them to start a military and political competition in this area right now. In ten years’ time they will have a first-class nuclear capability (and even in five to seven years’ time their situation will change), and then the best option to prevent a major thermonuclear war will be to have a more powerful China in the front line, with Russia supporting and covering it, as the Chinese are supporting us now.

I fully understand the moral anguish of people who say: under no circumstances is the use of nuclear weapons unthinkable and unacceptable. To which I reply: my friends, I respect pacifists, but they exist and live in this world only because soldiers fight and die for them, just as our soldiers and officers are fighting now in Ukraine.
