A plan is underway to install Nancy Pelosi as president. It is not the only plan, but this plan will be worked towards its logical conclusion, whether or not its utility concludes prior to the election itself, now less than 90 days away.

A series of explosions rocked a number of countries, the most significant being Lebanon. In Trump’s televised address in New Jersey in the first week of August, he explained that he would be laying low. Prior to that, in describing storm Isaiah, Trump gave a signal to his base, that the ‘storm’ was now at his back.

On July 21st Nancy Pelosi appears to have explained a large part of the game plan, to MSNBC.

“Well, that’s a loaded question there about coronavirus, what we do about it. But the fact is, whether he knows it yet or not, he will be leaving. Just because he might not want to move out of the White House doesn’t mean we won’t have an inauguration ceremony to inaugurate a duly-elected President of the United States and the – I just – you know, I’m second in line to the Presidency. Just last week I had my regular continuation of government briefing. This might interest you because I say to them, ‘This is never going to happen. God-willing it never will.’ But there is a process. It has nothing to do with the certain occupant of the White House doesn’t feel like moving and has to be fumigated out of there because the presidency is the presidency. It’s not geography or location.”

A General Outline:

1. ‘Problems’ with the process and final count in the 2020 presidential election will render no clear winner
2. A legal battle will ensue, as both Trump and Biden will maintain they have won
3. Congress will move to execute constitutional provision to choose president – Pelosi
4. Trump will physically occupy the White House while Pelosi Seeks Inauguration
5. More violence and destabilization if Pelosi plan works

Trump’s Projected Victory Means the Deep State Moves for Election Spoilage

The deep state’s plan has worked through contingency plans to oust Trump. This is because a clean election has him 91% likely to win according to the only tested reliable method of evaluating the past century of presidential elections, the Norpoth/Primary Model. That same model had Trump 87% likely to win in 2016, despite push-polls and various other erroneous (but convenient for the DNC) models showing Clinton the likely winner. It is the gold standard. Other models either do not consider all the variables, or have weighted those variables incorrectly, and the Primary Model takes account for voter motivation.

Pelosi – Fauci – Gates

Pelosi and congressional Dems in concert with Fauci and Gates have made – between the forced lockdowns, explosive unemployment, and business closures – the very same mess that they will say is ‘Trump’s Economy’. Dems push divisiveness – blaming other Americans and Trump, while Trump unites all Americans using the xenophobic trope of Red China. On a deeper level, Trump blames Fauci and Gates, and was upset that Event 201 became a live exercise without telling the White House. ‘They should have told us’, he lamented, as Pompeo let the truth slip that ‘this is a live exercise’.

All the while Pelosi simultaneously pushes back against Trump’s moves to end lockdown and re-open the economy.

Animated Trump voters – whose excitement is enough to sway undecided neighbors and friends – are not fooled by this. They are ‘inoculated’ against this plan and they understand that, whatever his motives, Trump needs to improve the situation as much as possible to get re-elected. And because of the executive order, he will.

Trump’s political counter-moves are sure to shore up enough support in swing-states where he might have been flagging. We have seen this already, and will see more of it.

We must take this revealed development from Pelosi alongside this writer’s information directly from SEIU staffers themselves, who have explained what was said on the condition of anonymity as they are still in the employ of that organization. For it is these who are the driving force behind the ‘Our Revolution/Working Families Party’ organization – the wing of the Bernie (for Biden) campaign that also embeds with street activists as a ‘community organizing model’ outfit, and forms the organizational bridge between BLM and ANTIFA on the one hand, and the Biden campaign on the other. In standard SEIU form, the paid staffers coordinate with a network of NGOs backed by charitable trusts and that percent of COPA/COPE (Committee on Political Action/Education) funds from union members themselves that can be used for (in)direct political campaigns.

Some months ago, the SEIU staffers from the management echelon of the inner-party went on a retreat, as is their custom when it’s time to get their story straight. This involved political directors at the locals as well as high-paid managers at the ‘International’. This is often a camping trip or some similar outing over the course of three or four days, that includes the sort of outdoor ‘trust building’ exercises also used in corporate management.

Inside baseball and long-game strategy was discussed, and more to the point, how this can be sold back to the outer-party staffers of SEIU (who in turn must sell this to the rank and file members). Leading this exercise was SEIU’s Rafael Navar (furthest on our left, see photo above), who this writer worked with in SEIU at Local 99 in Los Angeles a decade ago. The issue in question as it pertains to our understanding, was that the DNC convention has been effectively brokered, and Bernie’s delegates were hand-picked by SEIU so as to avoid the grassroots embarrassment dealt to Clinton by Bernie supporters against Bernie’s wishes during the 2016 DNC convention. But what came out of this retreat is of particular interest.

Contrary to how conservative pundits misunderstand the dynamic, the DNC leadership and its SEIU inner-party functionaries are functionally pro-establishment and anti-socialist, who see themselves as anti-establishment socialists.

The outer-party are ‘true believers’ at war with the inner-party, seeing through their lies on the one hand, are fooled into believing that a socialist angle can be teased out of the corporatist DNC agenda nonetheless. The outer-party therefore hates Biden, and was keen on a Sanders campaign and presidency. The ‘socialism’ that conservative Americans oppose is better understood as ‘corporatism’ .

A big crisis that SEIU is aware of, is that Biden is unelectable and cannot win. They do not believe the fake news polls showing Biden leading or even close, because their trained senses and experience in the field, which is loaded with empirical evidence that leaves little room for interpretation, indicates that Trump will win by a landslide. The outer-party knows only a Sanders campaign could have motivated a Democrat victory in November – if we take a clean election for granted. Bear in mind that 40-45% of Americans see themselves as socialists according to several solid polls.

Coming back from this retreat, inner-party middle manager Rafael Navar communicated to recalcitrant outer-party leaders that the rumors to silence Sander’s real support at the convention was a ‘conspiracy theory’, and more that all their concerns should be put to rest. Why?

Because Biden will declare victory regardless of the outcome

It corroborates Pelosi’s interview which reveals that that the DNC plans to hold a parallel presidential inauguration – not for Joe Biden, but for herself – as “2nd in line”. By not conceding, a door is opened for Pelosi’s move. Pelosi explains that even if Trump does not vacate the White House – that is, even if he maintains that he is the president after the election as a legal contest ensues – that the presidency is an institution and not a geographic location.

Fascinating here is that Pelosi reveals the mechanism that would be used: constitutional provisions for the continuation of government, and NSDP 51 signed to act towards the continuation of constitutional government. In the live TV interview, she bragged that she is prepared to assume the presidency if Trump does not concede, and has regularly been briefed on COG (continuation of government) provisions. Simultaneously, BLM/Antifa has called for a protest on September 17th to ‘lay siege’ to the White House. If this goes forward, we should expect the ‘occupy’ tactic of the Color/Spring technology.

Why the revelation?

It is perhaps beside the point to dissect whether she was inebriated or if we can chalk this one to over-confidence, or something else. At this point, all of their communications are monitored, and they are under investigation for both related and unrelated matters. The justice department has substantive predicate for an investigation of all their comms because of Obamagate. Information on this plan if kept a secret would be revealed anyhow because of the fact that they are under investigation. AG Barr would rely upon parallel construction to make that evidence usable if it could not be tied to the initial FISA warrant. Therefore it is probable that they will have two separate (parallel) evidentiary lines to arrive at the same outcome.

To be secretive about this plan may lend it the appearance or even facticity of illegality, or add a layer of illegality (conspiracy) which they would maintain anyhow is not the case. Speaking openly about this plan on live television, even if most were not entirely paying attention, may indeed be a legal requirement. The warning has been given. So we proceed.

‘No one Qualified, No one Chosen’: An inconclusive election to appoint Nancy Pelosi as President

Between contact tracers and other paid ‘volunteers’ working this project within the context of the non-profit industrial complex, an over-burdened postal office using old equipment, and outright violence and disruptions at polling locations, we will have an inconclusive election.

The underlying problem will be the mailed-out ballots combined with Antifa (posing as/alongside BLM) violence. Test cases used already in New York, as Trump has explained in his press briefings, have only on August 5th some six weeks already after the election, declared a winner. Trump has also said that they are suing Nevada over similar. In a number of imaginable scenarios, this already compromised and marred election could be determined in the final instance on the outcome of a state like Nevada.

An inconclusive election without a qualified/chosen elected president, requires a process, and neither Trump nor Biden can be declared the winner or be inaugurated.

Constitutional provisions on the continuation of government then require a vote in the House of Representatives to elect a president, and for the Senate to elect the vice president. This is pursuant to Article XX of the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1933, in language generally explained in Sections III and IV.

Masks, Goggles, Gloves – Pandemic Preparedness or Antifa Uniform?

Barr’s federal police force have captured a number of Antifa terrorists caught setting fires to federal property during the opposition planned riots, and they were able to use face recognition technology that only requires eyes to positively ID. Fauci is now talking goggles, and face recognition doesn’t deal well with covered eyes. Media has already ‘lauded’ the violent manifestations because the ‘protestors’ wore masks. Now the media will note how responsible disruptors of the elections were, because they also wore goggles, following Fauci’s recommendations. DNC-Antifa believes this will allow their high profile members to avoid arrest through face recognition. Goggles also protect from tear gas. It may also be why the push for cell-phone contact tracing apps has suddenly been quieted, as the contingency has changed/adapted to the evolving situation. Contact tracing apps can be used by law enforcement to identify terrorism at polling locations, or attacks on mass ballot collection ‘efforts’ that are part of the mass ballot mail-outs. Those following recent Congressional hearings know that Google was just cross-examined on their reluctance to work with law enforcement to hand over GPS information on suspected perps.

Trump is Actively Working Against The Coup Plot

Showing the problematic result of the test of mailed out ballots in New York, legally challenging Nevada’s push to do the same (outcome of which would also effect all other states), pushing to expose Antifa violence and plan to work with contact tracers and similar NGO-sphere employees to ‘stuff ballot boxes’, AG Barr to release Obamagate findings before the election, and managing the messaging and promoting sensible cures for the plandemic, are part of Trump’s moves against this.

Trump’s ability to effectively politicize a sector of his base around the Epstein/Maxwell revelations will bring back the excitement generated by the phenomenon named after the famous Italian fast food, and the FBI’s announcement of investigating Clinton over Weiner’s laptop. If this happens within a week or so of the election, it’s possible that Trump will win 45 states without a further contest over a lesser victory, because of the recency effect in psychology.

These all seem like a lot of different variables to factor. While people talk about strategies, and broad and sweeping generalizations can be communicated conversationally – contemporary strategic planning requires help. We are talking about thousands of plans within thousands of plans, multivariate analysis, and the use of super computers using complex Bayesian statistical models on probabilistic outcomes. Because there are a finite number of possibilities, and Trump has made it to election 2020 so-far, it is likely that Trump already believes he has won. Laplace’s Demon is Trump’s Guardian Angel.

Romanian Dumitru Comanescu became the oldest man in the world, after the British Bob Weighton, who held this title, died on Thursday, at the age of 112. Comanescu is 111 years and six months old and lives in Bucharest.

According to the site Hotnews.ro, at the beginning of the year, in February, Guinness World Records established that the first three oldest living men on the planet were the Japanese Chitetsu Watanabe (born on March 5, 1907), the British Robert Weighton (born on 29 March 1908) and the Romanian Dumitru Comanescu.

The first died a few days after the record was declared, on February 27, and the Briton died on Thursday, the news website notes.

"Dear ones, I have received the great news with emotion, but first of all I would like to extend my condolences to the family of former world leader Robert Weighton. I feel honored and blessed to be now, officially, the oldest man in the world and to represent Romania at the highest level! It’s incredible! ", Said Dumitru Comănescu according to the Center for Seniors of Bucharest.

Comănescu was born on November 8, 1908 in Proviţa de Jos, Drăgăneasa commune, Prahova county. He was an agronomic engineer and one of the most valuable phytopathologists, being the disciple of the founder of the Institute of Agronomic Research, Gheorghe Ionescu Siseşti.

Initially, he enrolled at the Faculty of Mathematics, having as professor one of the most valuable mathematicians of all time, Gheorghe Ţiţeica, and then to find his vocation in the field of plant research.

He graduated from college in 1933 and worked for 70 years. In 2003 he made the last phytopathological expertise. At the age of 86, when a contest for agricultural experts was organized in Bucharest, Dumitru Comanescu obtained the 5th place in the country, so he extended his activity.

The oldest man in the world is a woman from Japan. On January 2, 2020, Kane Tanaka turned 117 years old. It received the Guinness World Records award last year.

In a major victory for privacy rights at the border, a federal court in Boston ruled today that suspicionless searches of travelers’ electronic devices by federal agents at airports and other U.S. ports of entry are unconstitutional.

The ruling came in a lawsuit, Alasaad v. McAleenan, filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and ACLU of Massachusetts, on behalf of 11 travelers whose smartphones and laptops were searched without individualized suspicion at U.S. ports of entry.

“This ruling significantly advances Fourth Amendment protections for millions of international travelers who enter the United States every year,” said Esha Bhandari, staff attorney with the ACLU’s Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project. “By putting an end to the government’s ability to conduct suspicionless fishing expeditions, the court reaffirms that the border is not a lawless place and that we don’t lose our privacy rights when we travel.”

“This is a great day for travelers who now can cross the international border without fear that the government will, in the absence of any suspicion, ransack the extraordinarily sensitive information we all carry in our electronic devices,” said Sophia Cope, EFF Senior Staff Attorney.

The district court order puts an end to Customs and Border Control (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) asserted authority to search and seize travelers’ devices for purposes far afield from the enforcement of immigration and customs laws. Border officers must now demonstrate individualized suspicion of illegal contraband before they can search a traveler’s device.

The number of electronic device searches at U.S. ports of entry has increased significantly. Last year, CBP conducted more than 33,000 searches, almost four times the number from just three years prior.

International travelers returning to the United States have reported numerous cases of abusive searches in recent months. While searching through the phone of Zainab Merchant, a plaintiff in the Alasaad case, a border agent knowingly rifled through privileged attorney-client communications. An immigration officer at Boston Logan Airport reportedly searched an incoming Harvard freshman’s cell phone and laptop, reprimanded the student for friends’ social media postings expressing views critical of the U.S. government, and denied the student entry into the country following the search.

CARACAS – According to Juan Guaido, who is missing and apparently in hiding, the attempt to overthrow Nicolas Maduro failed due to the lack of support for the opposition from the Venezuelan military, which they had counted on.

Guaido made these remarks in an interview with the Atlanticist newspaper The Washington Post from an undisclosed location.

[Editor’s note: The Washington Post is one of the daily news outlets of the NATO media-intelligence network around the Atlantic Council. The Washington Post working in tandem with the NSA and CIA, has published hit-pieces against FRN, defaming the coverage as ‘Fake News’. Lopez, who was freed from house-arrest during the early morning hours of the first stage of the coup attempt by a crack commando team, himself fled to the Spanish embassy, being driven there by a vehicle from the Chilean embassy.

According to him, he “was counting on the addition of presidential powers” ceded by Maduro and the subsequent “massive transition of the military to his side,” but he miscalculated and this did not happen. At the same time, Guaido did not rule out that he would accept the intervention of the United States against his country, if such a proposal came from Washington.

“Thank you for this option, we will evaluate this proposal (on the US intervention) And, perhaps, consider it in Parliament to resolve this crisis. If necessary, we may approve it,”

However, it is important to note that the Guaido was stripped of his post in the parliament he refers to, the Venezuelan National Assembly, and so it is unclear exactly what parliament he refers to in this statement. It is more than likely that this is part of reinforcing some spectacle of legitimacy, which in reality has only decreased with time.

During a telephone conversation on May 3rd, the presidents of the United States and Russia discussed the situation in Venezuela. The conversation took place at the initiative of the American side, after which Trump openly broke with Bolton and Pompeo over their assessment of the Venezuela situation. “Putin is not looking to get involved in Venezuela, but is concerned about humanitarian problems in this country,” US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House following a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin .

A missing Guaido

Following the failed coup attempt against the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, supporters of the opposition held demonstrations which Juan Guaido called for, but himself failed to appear at. It appears that on the balance, the Venezuelan people have reacted negatively to the recent call promoted this Saturday by the leaders of the coup to demonstrate in front of the main military barracks of the Bolivarian Republic.

The aim of this demonstration was apparently to shame the military leaders whom the U.S backed opposition were solidly going over to the side of the coup, but in the final moment were ordered by defense minister Vladimir Padrino, to stand down.

FRN earlier reported an in-depth analysis of the coup, which explained how Bolton and Abrams were ultimately misled by Padrino, that he would order troops to side with the coup. This appears to be a brilliant military-intelligence maneuver on the part of the Venezuelan authorities. The result is that all of the coup-involved military personnel were openly uncovered, and this resulted in the termination and arrest of several military personnel as well as the very head of the SEBIN Venezuelan intelligence service itself, Manuel Ricardo Cristopher Figuera.

Figuera, the head of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service (SEBIN), is the highest-ranking member of the country’s security forces to break with Maduro since opposition leader Juan Guaidó called for a military uprising Tuesday morning.

In the letter, the authenticity of which was confirmed to The Associated Press by a U.S. official, Figuera wrote that while he always had been loyal to Maduro, “the time has come to seek new ways of doing politics” to try and “rebuild the country.” The letter did not mention Guaidó by name but did say that Venezuela has experienced a damaging decline.

Maduro announced subsequently that the new director of the SEBIN would be Gustavo Gonzalez Lopez.

Given that it has now been openly exposed that the very head of the Bolivarian Intelligence Service, SEBIN, itself was compromised at the top, it is likely that Gustavo Gonzalez Lopez, who nominally was relieved of duty in the same post last year, was operating secretly as the de facto head of intelligence. This would have been the case while Figuera was used to organize and collaborate with the U.S in such a way that could be contained and countered without Figuera’s own knowledge.

Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino, as FRN reported, was also supposed to go along with the coup, but unlike Figuera, was trusted by Maduro and Gustavo Gonzalez Lopez.

Supporters of the Venezuelan opposition held their demonstration without Guaido on Saturday as the government security forces protected their small protest from a general public increasingly outraged at the the opposition protests which are transparently urged by the U.S. The protest was relatively small in comparison to their previous demonstrations, which was a major blow to the opposition as they were looking retain some legitimacy and save face after their failed coup.

The main objective of the call made by Juan Guaidó, which he inexplicably did not participate in, was to convince the military command to ditch President Maduro and side with him. The troops listened to the statements of the opposition and reiterated their loyalty to their homeland and President Maduro.

In a clip that has gone viral, military personnel are shown setting fire to an ‘order’ from Guaido to join the ranks of the coup army, an army which in reality failed to be realized and therefore cannot be said to have really existed.

One of the military installations visited was the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Airbase, better known as La Carlota, east of Caracas. The base was the main site of the April 30th coup. Despite their best effort to break into the military installation, they were unable to penetrate its walls.

During the opposition’s protest on Saturday, a much larger rally in honor of Dialogue and Rectification Day was held in Caracas. The participants held the rally in order to promote a plan to better optimize social action in coordination with the government. FRN wrote a critical, constructive piece of both Telesur’s coverage as well as the low turn-out of the April 30th counter-coup protests. At the time, it appeared that various pro-Venezuela media used stock photos of larger demonstrations to create the spectacle of a large anti-coup outpouring. While the vast majority of Venezuela’s oppose the opposition’s shift to violence and coup tactics, the April 30th pro-government mobilization at Miraflores Palace numbered no larger than the low thousands.

FRN will continue to monitor these events and report on the whereabouts of Guaido. That Venezuelan media are reporting his ‘disappearance’ is itself a psychological warfare operation that should be lauded for its utility and timeliness. This is a classic ‘order to appear’ maneuver, in which Guaido’s legitimacy rests upon his ability to show ‘proof of life’. He is therefore placed in the conundrum of answering this ‘order to appear’ by making a public to rebuild his credibility – as absence is associated with fear and shame – yet making an appearance could lead to his arrest. His other option, also bad, is to ‘remain in hiding’, which indicates a sense of guilt, culpability and a loss of strength and legitimacy in the public’s eye.

Sri Lanka has being voting in support of Palestine in almost every resolution brought to the UN.”

Sri Lankan president and the chairperson of the centre-left Sri Lanka Freedom Party,Maithripala Sirisena also assured that Sri Lanka is committed to stand by the struggle for independence of the Palestinian people, president also gifted a plot of land for Palestine in Colombo to open up a new embassy.”

So there you have it – Sri Lanka has long been one of the strongest supporters of the Palestinian cause, therefore we need look no further for an explanation as to why she was attacked and know who was behind it – the criminal apartheid state of Israel. Ian

Ivanka Trump is very close friends with Abramovich’s wife, Dasha Zhukova. Zhukova reportedly attended the inauguration as Ivanka’s personal guest.

Leviev is the one with the closest links to the Trumps and Israel.

Trump has called Sapir “a great friend.” In December 2007, he hosted the wedding of Sapir’s daughter, Zina, at Mar-a-Lago. The groom, Rotem Rosen, was the CEO of the American branch of Africa Israel, the Putin oligarch Leviev’s holding company, and known as Leviev’s right hand man.

As mentioned Leviev was one of two oligarch’s with who Putin had establish the “Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia” under the leadership of Chabad rabbi Berel Lazar, who would come to be known as ‘Putin’s rabbi.’” Sater, Sapier, Jared, Ivanka are all Chabad members and/or donors

Trump had business discussions in Moscow in 2013 about Moscow real estate projects with Agalarovs, Alex Sapir (son of Tamir Sapir, brother of Zina, and brother-in-law of Rotem Rosen.) and Rotem Rosen, a pair of New York-based Russians. This may also have been discussed during the June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower that was attended by Kushner, Manafort and Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer associated with Fusion GPS (Steele dossier) and the Leviev linked Prevezon.

Agalarovis is a Moscow-based property developer who had won major contracts from Putin’s government. He hosted Trump’s 2013 Miss Universe contest at his concert hall in Moscow. He orchestrated the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting and formed a new American shell company a month beforehand with the help of the Russian lawyer who attended the meeting.

In 2015, Kushner and his family business, Kushner Cos., bought a portion of the New York Times building on West 43rd Street from Russian /Israeli real estate billionaire Lev Leviev for $295M, where $285M was borrowed from Deutsche Bank to complete the transaction, despite the 666 albatross hanging over Kushners head.

Deutsche Bank and two companies tied to Leviev, Africa Israel Investments and Prevezon, have all recently been the subject of money laundering investigations. A laundering case against Prevezon was settled two months after Trump fired Bharara, with a $6M slap on the wrist settlement that raised some eyebrows.

As for 666, Kushner gets bailed out by Brookfield who has Qatar as its 2nd largest investor. But consider that at the same time they did this deal they also acquired Westinghouse Electric, a nuclear power company. Now members of the Trump administration propose selling nuclear power plants to Saudi Arabia. Interesting.

But so many conflict of interests here, Israel, China, Saudis, Russian oligarchs, etc., and virtually no oversight or transparency. With twitter being used to manipulate markets one has to imagine rampant insider trading as well (hey guys, my tweets going out at 3 pm, get your trades in and remember my 5%).

Are President Trump’s senior cabinet members working against him? It’s hard not to conclude that many of the more hawkish neocons that Trump has (mistakenly, in my view) appointed to top jobs are actively working to undermine the president’s stated agenda. Especially when it seems Trump is trying to seek dialogue with countries the neocons see as adversaries needing to be regime-changed.

Remember just as President Trump was organizing an historic summit meeting with Kim Jong-Un, his National Security Advisor, John Bolton, nearly blew the whole thing up by making repeated references to the “Libya model” and how it should be applied to North Korea. As if Kim would jump at the chance to be bombed, overthrown, and murdered at the hands of a US-backed mob!

It seems that Trump’s appointees are again working at cross-purposes to him. Last week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that he was invoking a 1991 US law against the use of chemical weapons to announce yet another round of sanctions on Russia over what he claims is Putin’s involvement in the poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter in the UK.

The alleged poisoning took place in March and only now did the State Department make its determination that Russia was behind it and thus subject to the 1991 sanction law. Was there new information that came to light that pointed to Russian involvement? According to a State Department briefing there was none. The State Department just decided to take the British government’s word for it.

Where do we get authority to prosecute Russia for an alleged crime committed in the UK, by the way?

President Trump’s own Administration is forcing him to accept the State Department determination and agree to sanctions that may well include, according to the 1991 law, a complete break of diplomatic relations with Russia. This would be a de facto declaration of war. Over unproven allegations.

Trump has authority to reject the imposition of new sanctions, but with his Democrat opponents continuing to charge that he is in league with the Russian president, how could he waive sanctions just before the November US Congressional elections? That would be a windfall for the Democrats seeking to take control of the House and Senate.

The only way Russia could avoid the second, most extreme round of these sanctions in November is to promise not to use chemical weapons again and open its doors to international inspections. What government would accept such a demand when no proof has been presented that they used chemical weapons in the first place?

Certainly it is possible that President Trump is fully aware of the maneuverings of Bolton and Pompeo and that he approves. Perhaps he likes to play “good cop, bad cop” with the rest of the world, at the same time making peace overtures while imposing sanctions and threatening war. But it certainly looks like some of his cabinet members are getting the best of him.

If President Trump is to be taken at his word, that he welcomes dialogue “without pre-conditions” with leaders of Russia, North Korea, Iran, and elsewhere, he would be wise to reconsider those in his employ who are undermining him every step of the way.

Otherwise, it is hard to believe the president is sincere. Let’s hope he does choose dialogue over conflict and clips the wings of those under him attempting to push him in the other direction.

As the world continues to burn energy like there is no tomorrow, global oil and gas discoveries fell to another low in 2017. And to make matters worse, world oil investment has dropped 45% from its peak in 2014. If the world oil industry doesn’t increase its capital expenditures significantly, we are going to hit the Energy Cliff much sooner than later.

According to Rystad Energy, total global conventional oil and gas discoveries fell to a low of 6.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent (Boe). To arrive at a Boe, Rystad Energy converts natural gas to a barrel of oil equivalent. In 2012, the world discovered 30 billion Boe of oil and gas versus the 6.7 billion Boe last year:

In the article, All-time low for discovered resources in 2017, Rystad reports, it stated the following:

“We haven’t seen anything like this since the 1940s,” says Sonia Mladá Passos, senior analyst at Rystad Energy. “The discovered volumes averaged at ~550 MMboe per month. The most worrisome is the fact that the reserve replacement ratio in the current year reached only 11% (for oil and gas combined) – compared to over 50% in 2012.” According to Rystad’s analysis, 2006 was the last year when reserve replacement ratio reached 100%.

The critical information in the quote above is that the world only replaced 11% of its oil and gas consumption last year compared to 50% in 2012. However, the article goes on to say that the last time global oil and gas discoveries were 100% of consumption was back in 2006. So, even at high $100+ oil prices in 2013 and 2014, oil and gas discoveries were only 25% of global consumption.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the article, global oil capital investment has fallen right at the very time we need it the most. In the EIA’s International Energy Outlook 2017, world oil capital investment fell 45% to $316 billion in 2016 versus $578 billion in 2014:

In just ten years (2007-2016), the world oil industry spent $4.1 trillion to maintain and grow production. However, as shown in the first chart, global conventional oil and gas discoveries fell to a new low of 6.7 billion Boe in 2017. So, even though more money is being spent, the world isn’t finding much more new oil.

I believe we are going to start running into serious trouble, first in the U.S. Shale Energy Industry, and then globally, within the next 1-3 years. The major global oil companies have been forced to cut capital expenditures to remain profitable and to provide free cash flow. Unfortunately, this will impact oil production in the coming years.

Thus, the world will be facing the Energy Cliff much sooner than later.
